The truth is Eric has always been a doormat for psychologically disturbed women.

1. Stephanie was controlling and obsessive, beating and slapping people around like a bully. And as much as I loved her, she Hid a child from Eric for 25 years. Also made him marry her with a lie about Ridge's paternity. This would make me divorce someone. Stephanie even in the early years made Eric feel small and insecure, she hated his relationship with his daughter Kristen and was madly jealous all the time.

2. Brooke - she practically used him to revenge on Stephanie and Ridge. Again made him feel great at the beginning but as soon as she became Forrester, she slept with his son on the floor of the company. Eric to this day doesn't know about Brooke ducking Ridge while making Belief.

3. Sheila - we do not need to go into further detail. This woman had Alex Forrest Fatal Attraction obsession with him and used him for he own own evil intentions. Cheated on him while wanting to get pregnant asap to have a Forester child.

4. Donna - Brooke Logan wannabe, high level escort.

5. Quinn - mentally disturbed again.

So I have always felt Eric was pathetic and sad man.

Eric couldn't even be bothered to go to the hospital when his granddaughter was shot was "widowed" he was too busy playing "Find the honey" with bobble head Donna

Plus how he treated Stephanie(no she wasn't perfect but she was loyal to him) and basically telling Bridget to forgive Brooke for Deacon. The man would choose Brooke and the LOWgan's literally over his own kids

he's a POS.

If I were Zende, I'd be pissed, too!

Ridge continues to come off as completely self-involved, but the character has always felt that way to me from day one when I started watching the show at the age of 12! I've just never been a fan of the character no matter who played him.

Me neither! I was Always More of A Thorne Fan!! Watching The Episode He Shot Ridge was one of the greatest pleasures of my pandemic! When Ingo R Came in as Thrne they portrayed him as the Bad Guy but To Be fair the Rivalry Was Always Ridge's Fault! He could never swallow his Pricky Attitude for Once and Support Thorne he was ALWAYS Putting him Down, So Thorne Hating him was no surprise! The fact Ridge took 2 of His Wives Must Not Have Helped Either!

I can't believe how Ridge is making this Eric thing all about him. I was hoping for more from Donna for sure. That said...THANK YOU, THORNE for showing up at the hospital and checking his a$$. I've never been so happy since I was expecting him at the hospital (and not at the house) ageeeeessss ago.

It goes without saying JG is acting her butt off.

They HAVE to be punking us with Brooke and that Bible, right? That's high-level camp right there.

Of course, there's also the fact that Eric's only doctors are family members who stand by his bed all day with nary a nurse in sight. I guess they're changing Eric's diaper, too.

    • A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days.  I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it.  We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least.  Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all.  And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

    • Wow, I love that current and former actors are participating in this. I barely recognize Staci Greason! She looks fine, just very different. But I will be happy to hear anecdotes from her. I shipped RoJohn and Isabella hard back in the day, and I sobbed buckets in my dorm room at college when Izzy B passed. Honestly, I'm interested in everyone's stories. Drake seemed like he was well loved among the cast.
    • When she first appeared, I was sure she was setting Tyrell up for a prank. She was too much of a manic pixie dream girl- I wasn't surprised Tyrell also became suspicious. Now I'm not so sure. If Jessica genuinely likes Tyrell, it seems like a missed opportunity to not have started her out as a bully, then we see her gradually catch feelings for Tyrell.  The McBrides are definitely the "C" family of BTG. They always get last priority. There have been a few times where the Doug/Vanessa/Joey characters reference off screen conversations which seem too important to not show us. Like when Doug thanked Joey for giving him extra time to pay off the loan. When did that happen? Or when we abruptly moved from Vanessa/Joey at Uptown to Vanessa/Doug in the hotel room. The McBrides don't even have their own set - even though Vanessa is a realtor. It's a shame because I am a fan of the characters and actors.

I am also adjusting to KR as Ted but I feel that AM and MJ had way more chemistry as father and daughter than AM and KR. We saw Eva dream of having a real relationship with MJ's version of Ted for months so it's a bit of a bummer not to have that payoff with the original actor except for those scenes in MJ's last episode.  Something I noticed about Eva today is how she takes genuine delight in being a schemer. As badly as she wants to be a Richardson, she still has so much of her mom in her. It was jarring seeing her earnestly promise to steer clear of Leslie in her scene with Ted, then immediately switch attitudes when her mom showed up.  I'm very surprised with how quickly the accident story has been moving along. I was sure that it would be months if not years before people figured out it was Leslie on the motorcycle, not to mention responsible for the potassium overdose. I'm looking forward to seeing how MVJ and Guza avoid writing Leslie into a corner.  Finally, I have been loving the Articulettes story. Bonita Brisker was just the right amount of OTT - remember Sharon is supposed to be even more angry than Tracy is. If Sharon didn't come in swinging, people would say she fell flat. The way Sharon and Tracy describe the breakup is so Supremes-meet-Original Recipe Destiny's Child. I get the sense that MVJ is re-writing the Return to Love Tour as a roman a clef, and I love it. I'm looking forward to finding out what the secret they share is. If Dante Green is as shady as Berry Gordy was, it's something dark. If/when they go through with the reunion, I expect Dante to show up and claim to own the Articulettes trademark in a Lou Pearlman-esque twist.
    • Other than hanging out with Liz, all of Lucky's stories have been stalled out or dropped; the relationship with his son; his wanderlust. He hasn't been involved in any of the action/adventure or con artist stuff. I don't think he's even had a scene with Sidwell since the latter came to town. He's a real after thought. I doubt he's long for the show.

    • I started a separate thread for the same tribute, but of course it can be discussed wherever. doesn't matter where. Fyi  Jason Cook, Staci Greason, and Eileen Davidson will be there as well as Reckell and some of the current cast Thread for Live tribute to Drake https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/68987-days-currentformer-actors-live-video-tribute-for-drake-hogestyn
    • Seeing Nicole and Martin together reminds me of watching Alice with Mickey Horton in the 90s and 00s. The seem more like peers than mother and son.  The younger half of the cast (35ish and below) is playing younger, and the older half (35+) is playing older.
