Ahh so Aunt Jordan is Eve’s sister. The classic from Wednesday makes sense now!  Loved the 80’s flashback. Claire is Victorias dayghter?!

Please just let Sally and Adam get back together and be happy for a while. Make them a team again.

I’m glad the Audra and Nate friendship has been remembered. She really is all over the canvas and it works, I love her. Lord she’s going to drag Nate back to the dark side just as he makes up with his family.

I watched last night, really on account of CZ. If people are complaining that she is a cartoon villain, they need look no further in the writing, it’s all in there. The fact that this woman Jordan (is that really her name?) waiting forty years to take this type of revenge, going through her “niece” to reel the Newman family in, first through Nikki and luring the others through creating this odd kidnapping and drugging of Nikki, to poisoning the others through bottled water…well, how else is CZ supposed to portray the character within this absurd chain of events? She’s playing it for all the absurdity that it’s worth.

I watched only ABC soaps.  And then I picked up Days and Y&R due to them being watched by people I knew.  I watched B&B briefly when the Avants were on.

But I've never seen a single episode of As The World Turns.  I never heard of Colleen Zenk until a month ago - that may seem sacrilege to this board, but it is what it is.

I take everyone's word for it that Zenk is a good actress, and I believe you; but so far, I've seen her in only a few episodes of Y&R. Jordan is written as a cartoon villain.   I'm sure Zenk is doing what she can with what's written and I respect that.
But this type of camp writing/production is just not interesting to me.

I can't believe I actually sat for an entire Y&R episode. The whole episode was about Jordan and Claire. Thirteen years has passed and CZ still has it. She could teach J. Eddie Peck some lessons. He was cringe worthy.

I'm hoping Jordan killed Nick. I'd be a nice Christmas gift.

Ummmm....how did Victor get into Nikki room if it was locked?

There's nothing interesting about the other characters either.

CZ is giving Y&R a buzz it hasn't had in years.

You'd rather see TSJ just motionless during his entire scenes? His extended story involving Mamie is a bore.

    • Coming into June...   It just occurred to me that seeing Carter/Hope engaged that there was something missing. Oh, yeah! DAPHNE. I missed a few episodes, but she left, right? So is Ridge going to be the spoiler for Carter/Hope now? I felt that Daphne/Carter/Hope had more legs to it. But I guess we will see.   I did enjoy that show circling back around to Luna/Will/Electra. Katie was spitting nothing, but truth. Same for Sheila. And it's good to see Luna vs Electra, and they gave off more adversary chemistry this time around versus when they were at Deacon's.    I was happy to see Liam reduced to C plot.
    • To bring over from the May Sweeps Thread from @Chris B   I know the fashions have gotten mixed reviews but I actually like what the new costume designer is putting the cast in. It feels more modern and the more tacky pieces I feel make sense for rich people. They're buying for the brand and the price and we often see celebs in things like this. Especially for a character like Nikki, I feel the more over the top (and tacky), the more realistic it is.   I agree. While it has been hit and miss no question, I have found it fascinating to watch what the costume designer is attempting to do with the various characters and their clothes. Some have been overdue. Some have been fascinating. But (outside of Billy) not boring to watch. I definitely find it more modern as well.   My growing issue has been it's not good that the best reason to watch Y&R as of late has been to see what people are wearing rather than the writing. It feels like a red flag.
    • Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
    • And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.
    • Oh, no. Vernon has definitely had his moments.   Choose silence anyone?
    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
