Thoughts:
The mourning has begun... and it is taking its toll on Ashley.
Grayson, going into "what ifs" is not going to fix anything. That is just going to drive you insane.
Hospital you run? Have a feeling you should be using past tense because I doubt you will be running the hospital anymore. And losing your medical licence? Oh, that is delicious.
Uh-oh. Now Donnell is questioning Vanessa about what she may or may not know about the plasma ring.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Elon's foot is going to be firmly on Joey's neck for a while, suspecting he knows more than he is letting on. And I do not blame him.
Ashley, let those memories keep you warm at night. Cherish them. Do not let how things ended up consume you... that will just drive you to the brink of insanity.
Aw, laughing during times of grief can sometimes be the best medicine. I speak from personal experience. Ashley, you were not an awful person to him. Derek lied, misled and deceived you. Naomi is right. You cannot go and rewrite the history of what actually happened between the two of you.
Marcel is cold and I do not blame him. Lia, you are going to go away for a long, long time.
Ren, the hood act you keep trying to play is not going to work. You are in cuffs. Grayson nor Jacob is. And that says a lot.
Interesting for Bill, Katherine, and Tomas to think that Lia was involved in the disappearance of Lynette. Very interesting.
Vanessa, you might need to open your eyes, finally... especially if Donnell is beginning to side a bit more with Deanna than with you.
Glad that Naomi reached out to Jan. She should be there to help comfort Ashley.
Lia, Shanice is the last one who is going to care about what happened to you. And I am glad she is holding you accountable for your poor actions. Beyond that, she completely tore you to shreds. Now we just need Ashley to walk on in and really let Lia have it.
So Joey does not know the Impaler? Oh, that is an interesting twist.
Lia, Jacob is trying to provide you an out. You know more than you are letting on right now. Ren, out of everyone, cannot be the only one who knows who the Impaler is (even if he truly knows).
Notes:
Bibel and Sandifer did solid with today's script. They were able to space things out so they were not emotion-heavy at once and allowed scenes to breathe. Some honest, character-driven dialogue in today's episode, as well.
Pascarelli did very well with the direction of the episode. Lots of good shots throughout and some good angles, as well.
Jen Jacob (Ashley) looked depleted in a way that absolutely worked. She aced the emotional components of someone mourning someone they once loved and were with. Everyone did well in their block scenes.
