Yabbut they are literally on hiatus half of the time. Being dark is regular as rain to them. There shouldn't ever be an effect showing of them being back at the game.

They all thought she was dead for like an episode or two but we knew from the beginning that she was alive. She then planted a bomb in the church that went off at Susan’s memorial. And after she was arrested, she had a breakdown and was committed

DAYS parties for anniversaries are always just whoever happens to be on set that day.  It has nothing to do with who is being honored.  They don't organize a party. They just order balloons and a cake and then ask the actors in the building to come over to the balloons for a few minutes of speeches and cake. This happens all the time, no matter who the honoree is.
