They could definitely do that, but I just feel like they choose not to.

Like the current storyline; so much of it is taking place offscreen. It’s like you can’t even call it a C-story. I would much rather have seen Shawn all broken up about Bo instead of just hearing about it.

Yeah, I can see how their acting styles can be limited lol but a few other actors are limited as well and we see them, and every aspect of their storylines.

Today was another one of those days where whoever wrote the episode had no understanding of the characters of EJ and Nicole. The pissing contest with Gabi/Stefan really needs to end.

As for Colin and that whole storyline, today was a little formulaic for everyone but I enjoyed those scenes.

Btw, where was Rafe going with those evil eyebrows in his scenes at the pub?

I feel like this Colin story moved really fast.  I thought it would play out a little longer than this, but I guess that's how Ron rolls.  I think it was pretty good today though.

Everything else (EJ, Nicole, Gabi, Stefan) was filler.

The Talia twist did interest me at first.  Even if I strongly disliked her seducing Chanel.  The whole story just went from drugging some biscuits to actual murder at lightning speed.  If Colin was willing to kill Paulina, why not just start with that?  Why waste time on these petty things lol?

To give Sloan a good edit.  She went about things a legal way and was falsely accused for months.  It's just to make Sloan sympathetic because Ron wants to keep her.

Well, from what I gathered it was to make Chanel feel the pain he did with his mother dying.  Tbh, Talia was completely unnecessary in all this.  Colin could have came to town and killed Paulina on his own.

Seriously.  Talia would have had to put in months of time for this plan to work and if killing Paulina was the idea that's a lot of elaborate extra work.  If Colin was able to easily pose as a health inspector, he could have gotten into the Sweet Bits kitchen himself under the guise of an inspection and planted the drug himself.  I can't believe Colin and supposedly smart Talia spent months planning this.

Given that the Talia character rehab has already begun, I wonder with whom she'll be paired (given that she has no interest in a romantic relationship with Chanel).

I'd like to see her return to medicine and be paired with Tripp at the hospital.  A Wendy/Johnny/Tripp/Talia quad could be fun for summer.

Also, good to see that DAYS is getting its money's worth out of that rooftop/Marlena's deathbed set.  Maybe Tripp can move up there when he returns from Seattle?

    • On GL we only saw young GA's Philip in very short shorts but on AMC we saw GA's Alec McIntyre in a speedo.
    • I mentioned that last week and I am glad Tate and Sophia just realized that today lol.  I think the show is just tying up some of Ron's loose ends.   You would think Brady, Holly or even Marlena would have perhaps pointed out the age thing to Tate at some point. I am not sure I like this shift in Sophia's characterization though.  MK played Sophia as someone who always defied her mom's rules-she just didn't get caught.  She was openly trying to steal Tate from Holly with no shame, showing up at the Horton cabin in bikinis to seduce him, and blackmailing Holly to work all her shifts at the Bistro.  Once the recast started the show has acted like Sophia's lived in her room, sheltered her entire life lol.
    • I thought Dante was going to put hands on Gio
    • If Jordan never appeared again, I would absolutely not notice or miss her.  So, while Brook Kerr has her flaws, she at least appears to have a pulse and a personality as Portia.
    • That's because India, or the India MKA ended up playing, was created due to the fact that both she and Kristi Farrell were liked by TPTB, but the part they both read for didn't exactly fit either one of them so the show created two brand new characters for both actresses to play (India and Roxie) and opted not to cast the character they were intending to cast (A cousin of Beth's). I think that's why the show seemed to struggle at first with how to write both India and Roxie in their first months on the show because the characters weren't ever intended to exist.  And yes.. Grant A had a great body... but I didn't find him hot when he was playing Phillip.. only when he was playing Alec on AMC which baffles me since it was the same actor in both parts LOL
    • I shared this on Twitter and good grief the comments. Steffy fans can be such vile real-life human beings over a fictional character lol.
    • I remember Michael Logan interviewed L.A. actors/production staff about the movie. Susan Seaforth Hayes said she was dying to know Susan Lucci's reaction.
    • Thanks @Franko  @slick jones You may be interested in the Elisabeth Shue mention. I have to laugh that they apparently didn't even know Teri Hatcher was on Capitol. I have scans somewhere of SPW talking with soap actors about Soapdish. Some, like Mary Stuart, were not happy. I never had a lot of interest in the movie myself.
    • I never had much of a problem with Brandon Claybon's performance as Martin. He has gotten much better though. While I enjoy his confrontational scenes, I must say his lighter, and carefree scenes from Thursday's episode are the ones that stood out most in the last 3 days (to me).   I agree with all of this!
