Agree with you on both.  The full open theme would obviously work since they're no longer under time constraints. Streamers and cable are known for full, great opens that make what's to come seem important and a traditional way to intro a show.

That close track they're using is just awful. I can't imagine anyone likes that.

What am I missing here? This is hardly "gross."

Regardless, Paul's first kiss with Andrew was hotter than anything I saw between Will and Sonny, mostly because Chandler Massey refused to do anything but a pursed lips kiss, often missing the lips entirely.

Yeah, Colton looked fine to me and I watched after I read that comment so I was looking for any awkward angles or weird moles.   To each their own though lol.   Everyone has different tastes.

The episode was good aside from Kayla/Marlena talking over credits.  I even liked the Belle/Shawn stuff and I think I have complimented Belle twice this week which is more than I have since she was born

Anyway, did any else find Peter Reckell's acting weird/not good?  I have always thought he was a decent actor and charismatic as hell, but his choices today were odd.  I am sure he is brainwashed or something, but I found him distractingly bad today.  And, well, Hope being selfish is actually par for the course so I am not shocked about that.

The Bo brainwashing is so old. I knew he was acting weird but did we have to endure another brainwashing?

Paul and Andrew were hot especially Colton Little. Colton's chest is smokin hot!!

They were so specific about the amount of time spent in the cryo-chamber that I questioned if this was Bo, or like a Bo-clone that Rolf made for Megan.

Or maybe Peter Reckell has been away from acting for so long that this was his best effort and I am just reading too much into it.

Have EJ and Nicole, or Gabi and Stefan, actually had sex in the months since they've reunited? (I know EJ and Nicole have passed out in the same bed, I don't recall if they've done the deed.)

Because all Andrew had to do was come on and knock on Paul's door.

The reasons for them not together is a big stretch.

Long distance relationship yes but Paul is studying to be a coach. Really? When?

Paul does know he can get his coaching education in DC where Andrew is at.

Sorry but Martha was bland. She always has been.

Brandon Beemer looked extensively good today.

King of the Hill Voice Actor Johnathan Joss was gunned down and shot dead this past Sunday at 59 years old in Texas.  Here's the video of someone recording Joss' last moments before he was murdered.  This Monday past, the suspect turned himself to the police station and currently placed on house arrest until his Trial on August.
    • I was hoping the Articulettes  would be more like Klymaxx then the Supremes.  Talk about inspiration for a soapy type of stories  (one of the bandmates tried to use the name in order to perform, internal fighting over who was the lead, and the same bandmate that tried to use the name of the group tried to include their name as a song writer... and almost got an award for songwriting). I could see Sharon/Tracy/Anita fighting over all that... and Sharon trying to use the name Articulettes in order to perform and big bad bully Anita and Vernon block it from happening. Shanice is like Amy Vining... but BTG... Amy Vining had a life beyond the nurses station.
    • I don't believe Lemay was the one who negated the fact that the show was originally set in Michigan. Aside from a few curious character mutations, he did seem to care about the past. I think AW switched the local to Illinois in the 1980s or later.
    • Ooopphh , I just watched my recording and thought, what's going on there.
    • Yes I was watching AW during that time, but I was very young.  So might have missed the references you mentioned. The late 1960s and early 1970s would have been during the Nixon and Cenedella head-writing eras.  Assuming you are correct, I'm quite surprised (and disappointed) Harding Lemay did not continue the Michigan references.  Especially since he was raised in a far northern region of a northern state, very very near the Canadian border. And I know he loved writing (either directly or indirectly) about his upbringing in that region. Perhaps no one in the studio ever told Lemay about the Michigan connection.  Who knows??  But I'm sure Lemay would have had a field-day playing all those Michigan references, which would have made his AW even more believable and relevant than it already was.  Such a missed opportunity!!
    • To me, there were some weaker writers on ATWT in the 1980s pre-Marland, but starting in 2000, the advent of the show's associated with Hogan Sheffer and Jean Passanante, the quality plummeted and remained in the toilet for the show's remaining years. It's amazing that so many actors were still able to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. I just don't think KMS was one of them.
    • Off camera so we could be surprised today.
    • What was most frustrating, is that RTPP was weakly written at the beginning and remained tedious for what seemed months on end. Then, in its last stretch, it suddenly perked right up and turned itself around significantly. Unfortunately, by that time NBC was fully committed to How to Survive a Marriage, and went ahead and cancelled the flourishing RTPP in favor of HTSAM.  Ironically, history repeated itself. HTSAM was dreadfully written in its opening months. NBC fairly quickly gave up on it and changed its time slot to compete with the ratings powerhouse ATWT. Wouldn't you know it, NBC hired Rick Edelstein to take over the writing reigns and the quality soared. It turned into a rich, layered, deep psychological drama along the lines of Harding Lemay's Another World. Alas, NBC axed this newly-shining soap too.

    • 100% this. Murder, She Wrote deserved to have a proper final season farewell on Angela Lansbury's terms after all she did for CBS primetime. Sadly Les Moonves denied us this. In a way Angela did call everyone out through the episodes that shaded both Friends and CBS.  Angela did not give a f--- about being elegant and classy with her shade. She was hurt and rightfully so and I don't blame her for reacting the way she did. It was difficult to watch when Angela tore up and it made me sad and angry.
