The bicentennial idea is crap-that's 200 years so nothing to do with 50 anyway. So then why not celebrate Jabot's 60th or 70th- at least that ties in with something viewers can relate to, although Jabot has been ignored for years in favor of these 'trendy' media companies.

They could have done the anniversary of the founding of Chancellor. Devon and Lily awkwardly host a party amidst their current disagreement, bringing tensions to a head. Their aunt Mamie comes to the party. Danny performs because he's doing the video game music and invites Gina. Leanna reports on it. Lots of opportunities for vintage 70s and 80s clips of Kay like the scene where she delegates authority to Victor. That would have been more organic.

Hopefully we'll get a scene of Mamie with her grandniece Lily and grandnephew Nate.

So it begins... ;)

I gotta know: have they been mentioning the bicentennial in the lead up to it?

I can vouch. They have in the background VERY loosely over the last month. Last week, Nikki (looking really good, especially her hair) drafted Michael and Lauren into helping with it.

So Jill WILL be in town and her hair has grown out.

Dare I hope for w*ore hair?

I am really hoping for it. I think we'll get to see her sequins with a statement sleeve at the very least. The hairstyle she rocked never really went out of style - big and voluminous and sculpted.

This too. I don’t buy this show’s ability to pull off a good slap down anymore, but I’d be happy to be wrong. (One of my favorite Mia Rosales moments was when she grabbed Abby by the hair and dogwalked her in the GCAC. MO’s Abby has a big disrespectful mouth.)

Not to sound hopelessly naive, but could this show actually be ramping up?

Wow I agree the idea of Nina and Amanda giving Abby a world of pain actually sounds quite good, it’s something I can actually look forward to.

I’m curious and intrigued about the Diane/Phyllis/Jeremy stuff given another spoiler is out there about Phyllis.

Sounds interesting on paper but we’ll see how this plays out on screen and how long the momentum is maintained.

This is all I care about. I want a gown with sequins, ruffles, and a hair toss.

If we don’t get a hair toss I’m going to be so disappointed.
