Following coverage of Anne’s passing reaffirms my detest for the term, “brain dead”. It is so crass.

That is very sad to hear. Every time I've ever seen her on screen, she was fascinating to watch. And I do believe she was uncredited as well for IKWYDLS.

Does anyone know the role on ATWT she originally auditioned for that kept her on P&G's radar for Vicky/Marley? 

Anne and Anna Stuart were so amazing together and always managed to bring new layers to Vicky and Donna's relationship. It was never the same after Anne left.

It was for Lily, I believe.

 

 

She was taken off life support.

Thanks for this. Quite a career. Even at her worst Victoria was never an "evil" twin and I wish the NYT had not reductively  described the twins as "good and evil". (And if you didn't know the characters based on the ordering of the names you might think that Marley was the evil one.)

Yeah, that stood out to me too.

Sadly, when it comes to soap, dismissive is what you always get. Considering this is the paper that ran a puff piece on Hitler, I guess we got off lucky.

My favourite scene of Anne and Anna and Anne's slap was improvised. Anna Stuart has recounted that they could hear the director saying "Keep going, keep going!" as the scene built and when Anne slapped her, Anna was genuinely shocked, but knew it would look fabulous onscreen, as the director kept saying "Keep going, don't stop!"

I'm so sad about whatever was going on in her head to make her do what she did. She's at peace now, hopefully, as people say. I feel bad for the woman who lost her house, too, of course. It's a heartbreaking situation all the way around.
