The recovery news is not good today.

I've not seen any comment from the podcasters that were drinking with her prior to the incident.  Has anyone else?

Anne Heche’s condition is far graver than it appeared over the weekend, a rep for the Emmy-nominated actor told Deadline.

“At this time Anne is in extreme critical condition. She has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention,” the rep said in a statement. “She is in a coma and has not regained consciousness since shortly after the accident.

There’s a lot of confusion among media outlets, it seems. Hopefully Heche will regain consciousness and recover. Is the investigation still ongoing? Until Heche regains consciousness, the investigation will likely be limited.

There were reports that the woman whose house caught on fire after Heche crashed into it was hospitalized. Is this still the case? Was she badly injured?

What a tragedy, for all involved.

I knew how rocky a history Anne Heche had had, but as her career waxed and waned in recent years and she seemed outwardly more functional (if still very, very eccentric) I always held out the nugget of an idea of having her recur in a key role as a heavy on a soap, which I won't go into specifics on here; her career had taken enough hits that it seemed viable (though she's not just getting marginal work - she should be seen in The Weeknd's show on HBO soon, presumably after she passes). And Heche was always proud of her soap roots, AFAIK. I thought maybe she, like so many others, could always come home and do good work. She never stopped being talented. It's just sad that wasn't enough.

This makes me ache. I was already looking forward to her triumphant interview of redemption on the other side of this. Anne has suffered so much from a very early age and it’s heartbreaking and infuriating to see how the effects of childhood abuse can be utterly inescapable. I wish Anne and her family and friends, as well as the victims of the accident, peace and healing. This is rough.

This is very sad. Whether she refused help or didn’t get adequate intervention, she didn’t receive/take the help she obviously needed. May there be a way for her son and the rest of her family to be comforted during what must be such a painful period of loss.
There were reports that there were narcotics in her system. You just hate to see the loss of a life come down to this. Hopefully, at the very least, the woman who was injured in the house wreck will survive and be made whole somehow, so there won’t be another tragedy on top of tragedy.

Such a tragedy with Anne Heche that I really don't know what to say. I hope all unfortunately involved may find healness, comfort, and serenity. Again, looking at that crash, it's horrific to look at with smoke coming out from the rooftop. For the victim(s) involved, I can't even imagine the trauma. Oh my goodness,

    • Possibly.  I remember the "movie" being Jack/Jen, Bo/Carly, and John/Isabella centric.  I am assuming they are just recreating the idea of people/couples being brought together in a storm, which isn't very creative in the first place.  One Stormy Night was the worst of the 3 primetime movies too. Lol.  Fair.  Writing some press releases for her the two clients she has does not mean she can write what looked to be a 500 page novel. Stephanie spends 20 hours a day figuring out her love life anyway.
    • One Stormy Night was the name of the January 1992 Days primetime episode. https://www.jason47.com/days/episodeguide1992.html From jason47 bio of Jeanne Marie Ford:  when I was in high school, my best friend got me hooked on 'Days.'  She first worked on the "Days" staff in 1992 as an unpaid intern and soon after became the show's writer's assistant from 1992-1996. https://www.jason47.com/days/writersinfo.html
    • I have not been convinced any Stephanie since Shayna Rose can read.
    • The throwback, and the randomness of it all has me worried that Jamey had something to do with it.
    • As a PR person, she's undoubtedly written zillions of press releases and presentations, so I don't find it that much of a stretch. But it sure did come out of nowhere. I don't know if any soap has done particularly well with a book plot, though, so I'm apprehensive of where this will go.

(Same procedure as Tues. April 29 and Wed. April 30.) This soccer coverage will be broadcast live in the European evenings, which is 3-5pm Eastern USA, plus a 2-3pm Eastern prematch show. Total timeframe: three hours 2-5pm EDT on those four dates. On CBS only. BeyondTheGates: This fully officially preempts BTG in all timezones in USA and Canada. Tues. April 29, Wed. April 30, Tues. • Stephanie writing a novel is odd.  She's never seemed interested in writing or much of a creative type.  Is One Stormy Night a nod to the primetime Days episode from the early 90's?  That would literally have nothing to do with Stephanie, nor were any of the characters featured in that special closely related to her IIRC.  Although One Stormy Night isn't a super creative title or anything, so it's probably just a coincidence.  And, yes, it was very rude for Alex to just take Stephanie's personal, private writing without asking lol.
    • And its 2025, not the 1970s, 80s, 90s... just bc pre-emptions have been a thing for decades, doesn't mean there shouldnt already be ways to deal with it in the modern era. Airing th episodes in the markets that can and putting them up and directing viewers to CBS.com to see them for free and of course Paramount Plus for those subscribers, seems like a reasonable compromise. Today's tv market leans heavily towards streaming so there is no reason why they shouldnt leverage that when it comes to this
