Actor/model Evan Hofer has been cast as Dex on ABC’s “General Hospital.” The character will first appear in the Friday, May 6 episode when he lobbies Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for a job. This marks Hofer’s first time working on a daytime drama series.

“So excited for Dex’s journey to begin,” said Hofer on Instagram.

Prior to joining “GH,” Hofer made his television acting debut in the 2010 movie “Everday Kid.” One year later, he began his run as Randy in the Disney XD original series “Kickin’ It.” Additional TV credits include appearances in episodes of “Modern Family,” “The Haunted Hathaways” and “Lethal Weapon,” among others.

In 2018, Hofer co-starred in the film “Run the Race” which followed two brothers in a small Southern town facing escalating problems with two different world views, straining – but ultimately strengthening – the bonds of brotherhood. The movie also starred Tanner Stine, Frances Fisher, Kristoffer Polaha, Mario Van Peebles and Mykelti Williamson, among others.

From 2019-2021, he starred in the BYUtv series “Dwight in Shining Armor,” a modern take on what would happen if the middle ages came to middle America. Hofer played the role of Chlodwig, whose job is to train Dwight (Sloane Morgan Siegel) in knighthood.
