Harry and Meghan Interview with Oprah

I took a photo in front of Buckingham Palace when I was a student studying there. I had to go as part of an assignment where we had to visit a number of British landmarks. I tried to get out of it by visiting Madame Tussaud's Wax museum but I was told that was not on the list of acceptable landmarks. I was pissed, lol. Buckingham Palace is a place where the British Empire has furnished their palace with stolen artifacts from their subjugated colonies and conquests. Talk about gold diggers. I couldn't wait to get out of there.

At least I looked good in the picture.

Ah, yes, the Nazi costume.  An "incident" that got swept under the same rug as his grandfather's past, racist comments, almost as soon as it hit the tabloids.  Not too many still talk about the Nazi costume; yet, it's been how many years?  And people remain outraged that Michelle Obama had the audacity to put her hand on Queen Elizabeth's shoulder when they were formally introduced.

Yep.

On a shallow note, Harry looks very good. And he's being remarkably candid in the special about the symbiotic relationship with the UK press and the royals. I'm too young to know if anyone else from inside (Fergie, Diana) ever was on record, and Diana was not born into it like him.

Oh the irony!

Honestly though, I believe that one has the capacity for change, but one must demonstrate that change in actions, not just words and although I was dubious about anyone being that clueless about the implications of wearing such a costume, I have since given Harry the benefit of the doubt, even before he married Meghan.

If anyone tries to make pronouncements on the feelings of the Commonwealth without acknowledgement of the fact that the majority of the Commonwealth consists of people if a darker hue, well as someone whose heritage intersects with that a former colony that whose people were enslaved by Great Britain and Spain, we'll, I just can't take anyone who fails to acknowledge that seriously.

Probably Andrew because I guess pedophiles are persecuted. Notice how the defenders of the BRF don't ever say a word about why the BRF never came out in support of Meghan and Harry and all the attacks in the press.  NOT ONE WORD.  Yet Andrew well they circle him with their protection for a pedophile.

Yes. The portions around mental health, wellness, and well being are another example of BRF not making the right choices in providing those resources and support. Especially during a global pandemic. Those are damning reports. Harry and Meghan saying they would have stayed if they gave her protection and support is really bad.
