Just about all of this was resolved when Hartley was in then role but I guess JG was so obsessed with dialing it back to 2013 he just overlooked it. The Kansas retcon was completely unnecessary and shows the inability of the writing staff to tell a new story for once. No wonder Y&R’s main pages have such negativity in the comment sections since returning.

I finally caught up on the show last week.

The Adam and the Adam  needs to move on.

Dear Josh Griffith:

No one was clamoring for insecure whiner Chelsea to return.  No one.  No one.

It took close to a year to make Sharon a viable character again after the bunch of you (writers) ruined her, and now you have her  constantly back in Adam's orbit. Please stop.

Lola gets a piece of ass and suddenly is more insufferable than when Kyle pursued her. The character has been a wash since her creation.  Why is she never actually cooking?  Just pouting. and whining. and complaining...  I guess Theo didn't scratch the itch......

The pre- shutdown work around the Sharon story was solid. Her support system of Nick, Rey, Faith and Mariah worked, as did the scenes with Jack, Nikki, Summer even Phyllis.  Then it just breaks down to Adam.  I wasn't a fan of Rey, but I've come around a bit.

They should invest in Maria DeDomenico.  The Alyssa character and the actress fill a gap the show has needed to fill-- A person from a middle-class  (not rich), a reporter/investigator.  Plus I think the actress is actually good.

For all the new folks here that dislike Summer as played by Hunter King...  thank Puhney Muhney for the fact that the show won't be letting her go.  If he could have kept his hands and mouth in line, she would have been out for good when she left.  I don't know why these shows insist on marrying off their twenty-something characters like it's a race.

I thought we were finally rid of Tessa, but no.....Jeez, does Mariah have to suck a "D" to make her leave... And who is Cait Fairbanks banging to keep her job?

The Nate-Amanda-Devon-Elena quad has potential.  It's funny that aside from Jared (Michael MacLane) no patients can speak.  Is there a no talking sign in the lobby?  Obviously they can't afford to pay for patients to have lines.

I do like Amanda's interactions around the canvas...  ChanceCom, the Clinic helping with Jared, her friendship with Phallus.  She should have been brought back as Hillary, but I'll take Mishael any way I can.

The Abbotts seem like an afterthought---  appearances every few days.  I'd rather see them than more of "The Newman Show."   I loved the Jack-Jill scenes.  I think the Traci working in town can only help the canvas.  Beth Maitland's scenes with Christel are always wonderful. Find a way to keep ED around-- hire a co-head writer with talent.

Don't give two f*cks about MTS wearing a wig.  Can't blame anyone for wanting less up-close interactions-- or whatever reason.

The Abbotts have been slowly killed or written off since LML/MAB which is the shame because the characters are definitely better Nick, Victoria (since 2005), and Adam. And yes, if I was watching, I would prefer to watch PB,ED, BM than what the Newmans are offering.
I don’t care for Summer and Kyle. I find the characters and their portrayers to be mediocre from the bits I’ve seen of them.  They should marry and write them off the until the show is canceled.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?
    • This is the coldest early June in my life. It's like it's January.

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.
