Nah, I think this was the appropriate thread to post that in, a new thread wasn't needed.

A shame for the show but also look how effectively their test and trace strategy worked. The likelihood of there being a massive spread is low which will get the show back in production sooner.

Daytime has been a very big test case for television productions and I think they are doing a very good job.

Days will potentially resume production later this week. I have verified that they are still dark today, regardless of what other websites are reporting. The Lauren Koslow photo was posted today, but not taken today. The report of Rob Wilson driving to the studio was also incorrect. His Instagram Story mentioned him being near (or driving to) Sony Pictures Studios, not Burbank Studios.

This is actually smart. And they can probably film all his scenes in one day

Have Bill & Susan Hayes been on Days since the post shutdown episodes began airing?

No, but Doug and Julie were in a spoiler for next week and SOD has a photo of them hugging in the pub.  Not sure when the scene was taped though.

It's interesting, because the producers of black-ish had an interview the other day and they said that they (so far) had spent $600,000 on making their sets "co-vid safe"; of course some of those things they did were more or less "one time costs" such as improving ventilation, but a lot of that is inevitably running costs (such as cleaning the sets). It sort of makes me wonder how DAYS, being kept on air because they can keep the costs down, will inevitably handle the increasing costs. Maybe they'll just look at this as a temporary rise in production costs, on the other hand can they go back to producing it like pre-covid eventually?

* a big family event scene featuring about 15 actors in close proximity

good luck, Ik days and GH have been more relaxed but have they had 15 people close together in one room maskless yet?

All I know is, while watching DAYS (and sampling GH), I don't see any awkward socially distant scenes. The only thing I've seen DAYS do differently is use even less extras in the background, and some kissing moments are cutaways right as they're about to lock lips.  Y&R and B&B still look odd after all these months.

I enjoyed their individual scenes with other characters before they all came together at the Pub to commiserate over their relationships with Sami. I thought that was broken down pretty well. I just wish it had gone on a little longer. And I actually found it kinda funny too lol it seemed more mature than what we're used to. That's the kind of humor that should be on a soap. But I'm not really sure about all this talk of Dante Vitali and Sami's engagement though, especially since it doesn't look like Ali Sweeney is coming back anytime soon. What's the point of it all if we're (probably) not going to see it? It also looked like today was the first round of Brady vs. Xander as well lol I enjoyed their fight, and I'm interested in seeing this storyline play out. Even though I'm sure that Sarah will ultimately go back to Xander in the end, I'd like to see what happens along the way, and how they and everyone around them are affected by this. Btw, Theo and Jada? Idk. I still think he had the most chemistry with Arianna. And he was a bit of a dick too. It also seemed a little out of character for Jada for her to be so OK with him being such a dick  And though Alex and Stephanie were very boring again and need much better conflict than this book stuff, I am interested in the mystery of who's targeting Alex.  And yeah, I know this is a nitpick, but why is the Square still open after the gala? Isn't it supposed to be really late at night?
    • In fairness, Hillary and Bob Woods were thick as thieves again at least by the end of OLTL. But both she and I believe Mark Derwin not so subtly dissed Kale Browne in the oral history, lol.

    • Frat Boy Jr.'s reaction to seeing Luna was just awful acting. It was so bad that I started laughing.

Does anyone have screenshots of it?
    • Geez, I hadn't heard that Doctors story. HBS really did go through it.
    • No offense to the actors involved, but dear God in heaven: I don't know HOW viewers managed to get through that storyline with Maggie, Frank, Cal and baby Jill without running into oncoming traffic.  Then, to make matters worse, they dragged poor Diana into the mess!  I don't care WHO gets that damn baby!  Just wrap it up and move ON already!
    • Poor HBS.  To have to put up with Stephen Burleigh, who stuck his knee between her legs while rehearsing a love scene on THE DOCTORS, then told the director that's what he did with his wife; Kincaid, who had more hair on his chest and upper lip than Koko the Gorilla; Kale Browne, who taped his lines all over the OLTL studio floor, because he couldn't ever be bothered to [!@#$%^&*] memorize them; and Robert S. Woods, who apparently thought it was still 1979 and that he was still smolderingly sexy, so why should Bo Buchanan be stuck being in a happy marriage with Nora?  After all that, no wonder she jumped at the chance to play a lesbian on VENICE, lol.
    • @Maxim Thank you for the mini-review and clip from several pages ago. I appreciate you using the Bo/Alex clip as them meeting again by this point was a real surprise to me. The scene has some layers, getting a glimpse of Alex genuinely wanting the best for Bo rather than gloating. I was disappointed it ended with Tina dragging her out of the room for some much less interesting sparring (I did enjoy Alex pointing out just how quickly Tina got over Cord).
