B&B to air classic episodes

Now that CBS is going to air actual classic episodes it's time for a thread.

I guess May 4 is not a Stephanie Forrester week, but a best weddings week:

https://www.viacomcbspressexpress.com/cbs-entertainment/releases/view?id=55077

Then, as THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL comes down the aisle, storylines will include:

On Monday, May 4, Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) desperately attempts to escape from Prince Omar (Kabir Bedi) to let Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) know that she’s alive, while Ridge and Brooke (Lang) have their epic first wedding in front of friends… and foes on the beautiful beach in Point Dume, Calif. The episode originally aired Sept. 30, 1994.

On Tuesday, May 5, Steffy (Wood) and Liam (Clifton) are wed in front of the iconic Opera House on the glorious Sydney, Australia harbor. While the ceremony progresses in front of family and friends, Wyatt (Darin Brooks) eases his sorrows over his brother’s marriage to his ex-wife with several drinks. The episode originally aired March 22, 2017.

On Wednesday, May 6, Katie (Tom), the only woman to have ever stolen Dollar Bill's (Diamont) heart, walks down the aisle to become Mrs. William Spencer, Jr., with her sisters at her side, at the San Fernando Valley home where she was raised. Legendary CBS star Patrick Duffy (“Dallas”) guest stars as Katie’s father, Stephen Logan. The episode originally aired Nov. 13, 2009.

On Thursday, May 7, Eric Forrester (McCook) and Brooke Logan (Lang) say “I Do” as Eric’s ex-wife, Stephanie (Susan Flannery), and Brooke’s true love, Ridge (Kaye), watch without objection. Eric then takes Brooke on a romantic and surprise honeymoon in a magnificent hot-air balloon in Palm Springs, Calif. The episode originally aired Jan. 8, 1991.

Wrapping up on Friday, May 8: Having overcome astounding obstacles, Hope (Kim Matula, in a role currently played by Annika Noelle) and Liam (Scott Clifton) joyously say “I Do” in front of family, friends, and the many residents of the beautiful city of Puglia, Italy. Frustrated and brokenhearted, Steffy (Wood) updates Eric (McCook) and Stephanie (Flannery) on the dramatic events transpiring in Puglia. The episode originally aired June 26, 2012.

Can't believe it's been almost 10 years since the introduction of Hope/Liam/Steffy triangle. It was definitely a new era for B&B.

I think it's time for a new triangle lol

The show successfully transformed into a new era; which saved budget cuts for the longest time because expensive actors got replaced by newbies - and the rating didn’t tank. It’s not until very recently that the show started to pale down with ita production standards. The writing has had ups and downs (and I once quit during their „legacy“), but overall this triangle has some power to it.

I am glad that the show did something great back in 2011 the Steffy/Liam/Hope triangle as it revitalized the show’s energy after Brooke/Ridge/Taylor had gotten so old as did all the stuff the show was recycling through at the time (Marone’s, Amber etc.) But now that whole triangle has gotten as stale as the one it replaced. Almost like it’s time to move to a different pairing although Wyatt really doesn’t deserve any of the women really lol.

Agreed! The appeal of actor and or character is lost on me since day 1.

the only good thing about Wyatt is Rena Sofer.

Well, it was fun while it lasted, at least some classics managed to air during the hiatus. Being that COVID is rising again in California will B&B be able to continue filming?

Only time will tell. With the right Safety measures in place and the actors and crew taking social distancing and wearing masks seriously it is highly likely for them to keep filming steadily. My employer has more than 600 employees in one building and our COVID-19 count till this day is zero. It’s a matter of luck (!) and respect for yourself and others to stay healthy

April 28th - Becoming Bold and Beautiful mini-documentary (considered ep #8320)

Becoming Bold and Beautiful mini-documentary is considered to be a separate series and not part of B&B.  It's a documentary *about* B&B.  It was entered separately into the Emmys in a different category.

Per tweets from producer  Casey Kasprzyk:

Part one is "episode 101 of Becoming Bold and Beautiful".

Part two is "episode 102 of Becoming Bold and Beautiful".

last new regular B&B epi before the break:
Thursday, April 23, 2020 #8318

Monday July 20, 2020 is the recap episode.

Casprzyk says this is episode #8318A.

Casprzyk says Tues July 21st  is #8319.

Wed July 22nd #8320

Thurs July 23 #8321

Fri July 24 #8322

When people asked about this on twitter and he explained it, he indicated that he loved that people wanted specific episode number info.

GAHHH, I had this originally.  I put the Becoming B&B thing as a special but then he posted the first new episode as 8321 so I assumed it was July 20th.  {hits head on table}.  Thanks for letting me know.

I didn't rely on SOC just offering it as another resource. I double checked all the dates myself and kept notes as the press releases came out each week.

I had used SOC.  I was trying to update Y&R and I was able to figure that out.

Yes Casey K. clarified:
Tues July 21st and Wed July 22nd were filmed before the pandemic shutdown,.
(Episodes #8319 and #8320)
They were new to the viewers, but filmed before the pandemic break.

Thurs July 23 and Fri July 24 were filmed after the break.
(Episodes #8321 and #8322) so they were the first totally new ones

That's why he tweeted out that picture of a CD with #8321 written on it.

I have a list of all the Y&R classics episodes that aired in 2020 -- and the discrepancies between what the press releases said was the original airdates ... and what was the *actual* original airdate.

-- and whether it is posted with correct date on cbs.com or not.

I don't have time now, but I'll post it tomorrow on the Y&R classic epis thread.

I have a partial list of the B&B Classics with any original airdate discrepancies. (april, may, and part of June).. I didn't have time to organize the rest of June and July.
