Wow I must have stopped watching Y&R before this 2004 episode. I thought I had watched this show until around 2005-6 but I dont remember any of this so I must have stopped watching maybe early 2004? I dont remember at all Danny and Christine getting back together. I dont recall her and Paul ever breaking up! What happened?

In late 2003/early 2004 Danny came back to town and the show actually trying out a retro Paul/Lauren/Danny/Christine quad before having Lauren moving on with Michael while Paul and Christine reconciled again for awhile there. Danny left town with his tail between his legs. The reason why Paul & Christine had

separated was they finally addressed the 2002 rape and decided to take a break.

Honestly, they could have kept this episode. It's nice seeing Victoria Rowell and Jeanne but....

Annnd Cuomo is still talking.

We’re not going to be able to watch any of these in the tri-state area, are we? I suppose I won’t waste my time trying to watch live and just aim to see these classics online at some point.

So many vets were on plus past vets. The episode was good but overall the storylines got absurd. Kay being Jill's mother to name one. The episode originally only got a 4.4 HH rating.

Lol still a million and full HH point more than it’s closest competitors! Days was in the middle of Melaswen, GL had just brought back Dinah Marler as the Kriezman era kicked off, ATWT was in the middle of the baby Cabot drama, Jack “dying” and Doc Reese sleeping his way through town.

That said, the excuse for Katherine drinking again was flimsy at over a change of furniture and curtains if I recall right. And yeah Y&R’s stories weren’t all that hot either; tomorrow we’ll see Cameron Kristen.

Does CBS2 in NYC feel like the classic episodes won’t rate? I can understand keeping Cuomo on. However, Gov. Murphy’s press conference was ongoing, preempting the last few minutes of Y&R and B&B, yet they broke out of it just now for a new episode of The Talk.

The Talk is low rated. I'm surprised CBS hasn't canceled it.

Our governor's press conferences are during our local news if not they are after the soaps are over. We don't have as many press conferences as NYC though.

You can also tell they edited the heck out of these classic episodes.

But it was great seeing Victoria Rowell as Drucilla as always. Phyllis stayed lying when it came to Christine and Danny. I love how it was left out she was an obsessive fan girl who drugged Danny to make him think they slept together.

Hahaha....it's a shame Y&R still had so many great vets and yet the stories became unwatchable .

What else was going on at the time? I think I was about to start watching when Devon/Lily were hanging out.

After Shaughnesy left as EP and Jack Smith started throwing his weight and ego around the show went into decline. Too many years at B&B perhaps?

Kevin being beaten up in jail and then starting his release/redemption story. Also Gloria(Joan Van Ark) had arrived into

town.

We also found out Cameron was still alive, working with Grace to get revenge on Sharon. The body in the sewers Nikki & Sharon found that Warton later moved was that of Cassie’s biological father who had just resurfaced the previous year.

Jabot was still reeling from Victor’s sabatoge and thus was reliant on bailouts from Diane and well, Victor himself thus why Jack had to leave Jabot.

Nikki and Bobby got close while Brittany was running around town as Nikki 2.0 Then Nikki remembered she had killed Bobby’s brother as a child by accident.
