Is California doing the level of testing New York is? That's a factor and I think NY has worked hard to make sure more people are being tested.

New York has tested 3 times as many people as California, but still has 9 times more positive cases.

What was that again about looking for the helpers?  Welp.  We found one.  Finally.

God bless "Vernon" for everything he's doing to help those most vulnerable.  I pray the Lord will keep him and his loved ones safe from this coronavirus.  (Same goes for everyone here at SON.  My heart is so heavy with anguish and anxiety over how the virus has affected this country as a whole.  We had it coming, of course, but that doesn't make me any less sympathetic.)

Well, the NY Metro area will be going into self-quarantine by tomorrow evening by orders of the three state governors.

Thank you for that, @DramatistDreamer.  Although I certainly feel sorry for that guy, lol, I'm glad we can still find the humor even in this really dark time.

California definitely HASN'T done the level and amount of testing that NY has done. Like Cuomo has said, more testing, more positive test results.

NY has tested about 45,000 people while California has tested just over 12,000 people.

Disney was flying so high before this (and will again). But how their tables have turned during this crisis with the closed theme parks, delayed movie tentpoles, and almost no live sports on ESPN.

"Let me tell you about the very rich. They are different from you and me."

Replace "the very rich" with "politicians" and it's the same guiding principle.

Interesting. I'd love to see testing by population density also.

Hopefully this is the beginning of a permanent trend.

Also, people need to remember that most figures are for NY state, not just NYC.  People in upstate and in the suburbs are not living like 'sardines' in a can.

From Saturday, but outlines the 4 level system New Zealand is using. Currently we are on level 2.

Keep in mind that New York has one HUGE Typhoid Mary that has facilitated the explosion of cases there. It's the SUBWAY
