Guys, BA.2 isn’t new. It’s been around since last year. It’s a sub-lineage to BA.1. They’re both still Omicron. It isn’t expected to be any more severe or expected to cause another wave. It might just eventually replace BA.1. End of the day, still Omicron. Let’s not lose focus.

It appears there is less immune escape with BA.2 than there is with BA.1 so in regards to boosters/vaccines there doesn’t appear to be much issue. 70% VE in regards to infection but keep in mind higher (think 90s as we have seen with boosters) vs. severe https://t.co/7m1OrOSNuh
