@Aback You were spot-on. What made it odd, was that Quinn spiked Brooke’s drink just a few episodes later only to dead stop it, with Thomas’ intervention.  So Brooke got buzzed, craved more for one or two episodes and done.

I know B&B made a ton of fast adjustments after the dozen or so preemptions, which is admirable, but this has been kinda crazy.

hmmt, I don't really think the Brooke/Quinn story was dropped so much as this is Bell's way of slow-burning a story, considering how fast they do reveals on B&B. I think he wan't Brooke/Quinn to be a more long-term rivalry, or that's what they are attempting to do. That's just my guess.

they did drop the Thomas-drugs-Liam plot point, tho, which is so dumb... they keep highlighting stuff Thomas has done, stuff that either wasn't his fault (baby switch) or was an accident (Emma dying) or just pure nonsense (OMG... he's so manipulative!!!) but they continue to ignore one of the only truly "bad" things he's done like drug Liam. WTF? LOL

also, I hope the whole "everything blows up in Thomas' face!" is a mislead, and their big plan is for Hope to tell Thomas she will marry him instead of Zoe... only for him to turn her down.

Look at CK side-stepping those Lane fanatics on her way back to the set, lol.

You can't convince me that she wasn't sick of that pairing and mostly wanted out because of it.

I just read somewhere that she is still on recurring and that she has elected to work more often now. Hmm, I wonder why?

I like the spoilers about Billy and Lily. I think that JT's Billy and Lily have chemistry. I also thought that CK's Lily had good chemistry with Billy Miller's Billy and I enjoyed them together. IMHO, Billy has more chemistry with Lily than he does with Amanda. IMO, him and Amanda don't have chemistry. I wonder how long Lily will be around for this time around.

I couldn't wait!

Same thing that I was wondering.  Lily literally has a family business that was started by her father and brother.  Why not help to salvage her family's legacy, especially since her father worked to get the business off the ground? There are plenty of things that Lily could be doing withing HWG.

Billy is a mess who has made a lot of choices that were bad for business (Brash and Sassy anyone?), why would anybody want to go into business with that shipwreck?

What happened to Chancellor Industries?

Y&R treats new businesses as if they are new storylines but you still have to write actual storylines for a new company. Launching a business in and of itself is not a storyline.

I don't think she wanted any of it. Not the kids who looked like her younger siblings, not the husband who was aging like old cheese. None of it. Not the crazy fanbase who wanted to keep her handcuffed to a dull pairing that outlived it's usefulness a half a decade ago. None. of. it.

It'll be a shame to pair her with Billy, who is clearly on a similar tack as Cane.

    • You’d think he would’ve learned after the way Sprina took off.  I hope we get a proper Emma/Gio/Trina/Kai quad, as friends, romantic rivals, etc. In the few scenes that the four of them have had together, I felt like there was a natural chemistry between all of them, similar to the way that Cam/Spencer/Trina/Joss was, in the beginning.  And, it would be a lot better than all this stuff with Kai’s surgery.
    • Hooray we made the exact same critique to Londonscribe!!!!!
    • I don't think they had any idea who he was this time last year. I think they were keeping their options very open. Same with totally dropping the Trina romance that was spoiled for him in the mags once FV clearly took a shine to him. Frank's priorities are bright and blazing in one color. I do think Gio and Emma seem to have worked out given that she is very dry and sarcastic and he is like a hot golden retriever, but I'd still play the field or explore quads with both with very different people - Emma with a scheming young man (of color), Gio with possibly Trina or someone else, or even a boy. Then maybe put them back together, who knows. But of course none that will happen.

    • He definitely got lost in the shuffle last year. First, they were implying that he was Drew’s son, then he was nothing more than just Violet’s bff

And then they changed him to being Dante and Brook Lynn’s son, which was clunky at first but I’m enjoying the storyline now.
    • GM is adorable, charming and fun onscreen despite months of nothing to do until recently, and has a bodacious bod. I'm not cosigning the show or this story - I haven't watched a full episode in over a month - but I think we're all taking the small victories in 2025 at this point. I'm open to testing this theory!
    • I think Jason might've posted some numbers for the syndication a while ago and the numbers for Falcon Crest was horrible. Like 1.5 rating or something, which was terrible.    ETA: it was actually Paul Raven:   New to syndication 60 min Fall Guy 67 markets 3.1/8 Falcon Crest 110 markets 1.1/5 To get into the top 40, you needed a 4.6/9 rating for reference - and Falcon Crest managed to get into a lot of markets to begin with. In the fall of 1985 Dynasty, Dallas and Knots were syndicated (show / rating / share / coverage % / markets): Dallas 3.4 10 51.7 92 Dynasty 3.4 10 48.7 47  Knots Landing 3.3 10 12.5 20  So, Knots as an example trippled Falcon Crest's rating with 20 markets - I'm sure those were major ones but it just goes to show you how much Falcon Crest bombed in syndication.
    • It's not bad but the stories move too slow. It's the same problem when Dan O'Connor was CO-HW with Van Etten, they have a million stories and they all drag on endlessly with no resolution. I'd argue the majority of the stories airing now are good but you get sick of waiting months for something to happen.
