I never have watched enough Capitol, but I think she probably saw Myrna as her best. For me it was probably Vanessa on AMC -such an incredibly dark role when she was given the opportunity, and it took full advantage of her chemistry with Vincent Irizarry. I also enjoyed that DID story she had before she left.

She never really had the chance as Alexandra, but there were select moments - especially the episodes where Alan confronted her over Amanda being his sister and not his daughter, and banished her. A dumb story, but one hell of a performance.

I'm also glad she was willing to stay to the end and give Alex a decent sendoff.

One hell of a charismatic actress in an era when actors still seemed unique to each other. I'll miss her.

She was a great replacement as Alexandra - it would have been difficult for anyone to follow McKinsey.  But Marj did a great job - I watched Capitol from beginning to end and it never should have been canceled.  I've never liked B&B the way I loved Capitol...but then again, I'm Washington DC but it was nice to see a show not centered in a usual middle America town.  This makes me very sad...she was wonderful.

Oh no!  I've been watching the 1994 season of Guiding Light with her as Alexandra Spaulding and learning to appreciate Dusay (who had big shoes to fill with McKinsey 's portrayal fresh on most minds) on her own merits.  Of course, I first remember seeing her on Capitol and as Blair Warner's mother on The Facts of Life. R.I.P.

    • Poor Philip. I appreciate how seriously his and Xander’s scenes were taken though. It felt like real drama and not like a big joke. You could actually feel Xander’s pain and anger. It adds another dynamic to the Kiriakis family storylines and I’m looking forward to the effects that this is going to have across the canvas. I can see them weaving Kate and Roman into this storyline as well. And it would be really nice if this somehow helped cause conflict for Stephanie/Alex too, especially because of what Alex did today. With any luck, Stephanie will be furious about it.  And I’m glad that Sarah has Maggie to confide in about her secret. I also liked seeing Steve and Shawn (and their matching jackets

    • TBF, I don't think we've seen her interact enough with the "have-nots" to know if she is or isn't. It's possible, but I don't think you can say that from her interactions with Eva and Silkpress.
    • You're right - though I did confuse his name with an actual actor who was on Dynasty.

    • "Might" is not "is". And I was talking about the specific case about her attitude to Eva.
    • But she can still be a priveliged elitist. She might have the same attitude to anyone from 'the wrong side of the tracks' whether they had an agenda or not. Nicole seems to be an outlier in her family. Her parents, kids and sister seem to think themselves above reproach.
    • Damian's clothes have definitely been a specific look -kinda reads 70's pimp to me . I guess it's a trend?? but it seems more suited to Holden. JR is 51  and I guess Damian is supposed to be a little younger but it looks a little odd on him in my book. But at least they're trying. The men's clothing has been bland/generic for years-either suits or basic casual stuff interchangeable  b/w them.
