Face it, Bonnie is his replacement for Roxie, and he's just giddy at having Blair and Dorian back. I'll be shocked if Florencia Lozano isn't playing Hope by next year and in a bitter triangle with Eve over Brady, now played by a finally-fired-by-GH Roger Howarth, of course.

why bother "spicing up" a character  and have to to deal w/ viewers crying and whining about character assassination when they can just move on to a more interesting character w/o all the baggage? People need to get grip and let these people live.

to be honest I would rather Hope=Gina, Steve=Stefano, Adrienne=Bonnie than actors leave the show out of boredom or be sidelined/relegated to pob barkeep because writers don't know what to do with them.

We're all entitled to our opinions. Mine? Forget the cartoon stale bullcrap. (Gina and Bonnie are as stale as Hope and Adrienne, IMO!) and, here's a radical idea, hire talented writers that can tell a coherent story without the tsunami of cartoon camp that Ron so adores. And hey, if these writers don't see women being violated as fun and games? Even better!

But in the end, Ron is a hack extraordinaire. He can't tell a story without making everything a joke, and he can't construct the story beats, so now we get a time jump with new plot points (because, let's be honest, these aren't stories!) already in progress.

this is daytime tv , no "talented" writers are gonna waste their time on daytime tv, that's why all the soaps that are left keep firing and rehiring the same circle of writers. lol

again, people need to get a grip and (imo) stop paying so much attention to bts shenanigans. and try to focus on the shows.

Yes, Bonnie is a one trick pony. For nostalgic purposes, we had her and her clown daughter back briefly, but the Lockharts don't need a permanent return.

Meanwhile, I would consider Justin & Adriene as a supporting tentpole couple. It's good to keep them united as an older longterm couple of DAYS, but no one's clamoring to see a storyline for them (at least I'm not).

idk, but y'all sit on these forums and whine about them so why not ACTUALLY watch them? lol I don't pay much attention to bts stuff and I can still get a semblance of enjoyment out of 'em.

    • If NBC could have for seen the ratings of Lovers & Friends (the replacement for Somerset).. they would have for sure kept Somerset on the air longer. https://jason47.com/days/ratings1976.html  (ratings for Somerset in the final year) https://jason47.com/days/ratings1977.html (ratings for Lovers & Friends short run...getting as low as a 2 rating).

    • I liked them, too, and was really disappointed it never went anywhere. The whole art theft story was ridiculous, but they had a nice chemistry. Certainly nicer than Alan with Christine. With her, he looked like the funny uncle. The worst thing they did to Bolger, IMO, was having Phillip write that DREADFUL novel and dramatizing it while he wrote it. GAG, that has to be in the running for one of their worst storylines that didn't involve wacky things like clones or time travel. Soaps rarely do school storylines, or don't do them for very long. Not the case so much in the early days of soaps, but after GH took off in the late 70s other soaps took their lead and would catapult teens/young adults into adult stories right away. That's one reason Phillip and Mindy ended up with so many ex-spouses--they started getting married really young. They shipped Dina and Cameron off really fast after high school and stuck Alan Michael in a marriage storyline with Harley. Did he EVER go to college? I don't think so. It may also partly explain why Quint and Annabelle had to go, beyond TPTB wanting to do a cast sweep. Teaching is not a profession that plays well on a soap. Quint definitely had to quit being Indiana Jones, because that wore thin really fast, but they didn't do him favors by making him a professor. If they wanted to keep him, they should have done what they did with Amanda (who was in another dead-end soap job, concert pianist)--have him work at Spaulding as one of the major stockholders.
    • Judith McConnell (Augusta) and Denise Alexander (Lesley) were great screen partners on GH.  They got into some stellar arguments in character in the medicine room.
    • He also commented that Brad knows that fans are sick of the constant fake deaths on this show: Finn, Sheila, etc and that it's hard to take this seriously if it's another fake death

    • I just don't think Brad Bell has it in him to actually kill off Liam. He should have killed off Eric when he had the chance. I know John McCook is an original cast member, but Eric is even more useless than Liam. Eric should have died and then it would be revealed that he died without a valid will, so Donna, as his wife, inherits everything, including his shares in Forrester Creations.
    • I think we all will, isn't that how soaps work? lol
    • ^^ I'll believe it when it actually happens.
