Years ago, Robin said in an interview that she and Louise promised one another that they'd never accept each other's roles (which is how they were first acquainted). I doubt she's Vivian, unless she has her friend's blessing. 

I love her, and must concede she is a living legend.

 

However, knowing Ron and how this will likely play out, we all know we will be getting a substantial serving of ham come Fall. 

 

Worst kept secret ever, but I'm so happy she confirmed it. It's probably short-term, but who knows? Can Erika Slezak and Jerry verDorn now be cast as Laura and Bill? LOL

Yeah, she's playing Vivian. And she's on contract even though she's saying she's a 'guest star' on Twitter at the moment. Not sure how accurate the contract part is. Telfer and Haiduk are also apparently on contract (Haiduk may be 6 months) ... and no one seems to know Barash's status. We've heard he was out but he's still taping. Did they change their mind?

Greg Rikkart's last stint was considered contract and lasted 4 months so it may be a short deal

Interesting. Maybe LS was uninterested/unavailable. This show has been playing so fast and loose with casting, nothing will surprise me from here on out. I hope Robin has some juicy scenes with LK.

I love Robin but why recast now? This isn't going to do wonders for Ron's rep in terms of casting past OLTLers.

Vivian was a loose end he needs to tie up. I imagine he had plans for it earlier but it feels like something derailed around Rapemance of the Wig and Andre's death and Vivian's "death" (Roman and Anna as a thing was dropped and ended in a line about Anna leaving again or something along those lines ... I have a feeling more was going to be done with Anna and maybe Tony/Andre). And Louise seemed "done" (and maybe she just doesn't want to do the work anymore, I can't blame her). Louise and Robin are friends. I'm sure if Louise said no Robin stepped in. It does feel like it should have been addressed sooner, but you know Ron and loose threads that dangle to either be picked up again or dropped forever.

 

One of the problems I've heard is that they write these stories without securing the actors first ... so it's either drop it and re-write or, I guess, recast. Days is a mess ... I mean, they're taping Halloween!
