In theory Stone and Robin could have met through Brenda and Jagger.  Robin actually met Stone through Brenda on GH at Jagger's boxing match.  Not defending GH because Sonny had a 25th show without a single Brenda mention which hurts my S&B loving soul, but there are actual ways Stone and Robin could have had a relationship without Sonny.

^^^^I doubt it.  This regime seems to have little interest in Brenda.  Oh well, it would have been a way better episode if the writers would have done a what if Sonny left the mob and married Brenda episode, but bringing Dante back was okay.  Too bad MB has little connection or chemistry with Olivia.  The whole premise was odd.  Like either way Sonny would have shot his own son so it's cool.

I would have to say SOC has some bizarre fanbases.  So much Liason/Friz/Jasam love.  Even a lot of Sonny/Carson love.  Does that make up the fanbase these days?  I am not a frequent GH viewer anymore, but it's ridiculously pro Sam.  Is Sam that popular?  I have never considered her anything but a Brenda wannabe that became a popular character.  She literally has 0 characteristics I could tell you about except she is Jason's 'ride or die' chick.

I always felt Sam was a Brenda ripoff as well. I find her to be such a ridiculous character. She's been forced on us since day one. I remember when she first started and they had her with Jax and that stupid Dead Man's Hand (?) story that soaked up airtime. Then she was with Sonny and was, of course, on nearly every day. And then the Alexis connection that came out of nowhere which just made me hate her even more. Not to mention I could never stand Kelly's whispering and sleepy acting. I never understood the appeal. I still don't. But it is funny to watch the Dream and Jasam fans go at it on twitter!

Oh Sam was 100% a Brenda rip off in the beginning.  From what I understand, she just had a tweaked sort of version of VM's storyline if she hadn't left so abruptly in 2002.  Getting pregnant by Sonny falling in love with Jason, etc.   I believe an S&B baby would have lived and S&B were the endgame, but it was the basic plot points.  Someone posted the full storyline on the web years ago and it made sense.  Kelly is pretty, but she is like Brenda (even 2010 Brenda) on a large dose of Xanax.  I mean, good for you, Kelly Monaco for doing what no other Brenda wannabes did and be relevant on your own, but I have never gotten her appeal.   I know daytime isn't right for Vanessa anymore (the fast pace seems to really kill her performance), but she had a spark in her original run that no one on this show right now could even touch, not to mention she was probably the most beautiful woman on daytime in the 90's.  KM always looks a little ridden hard and put away wet.

I've been saying for fourteen years that Sam's big break in '04 was just a reskinned version of Guza's plans for Jason/Brenda and folks kept calling me crazy. The writing and interplay was designed to be the same initially. It was very obvious at the time.

That being said, flaws and all I've come to like Kelly for what she is good at, which is not being Jason's gun moll.

I don't really have a problem with Kelly she is just so zzzzzz.....  I mean she's fine, but not ever going to be a fan favorite for any real longtime GH fan.

I thought it was common knowledge they poached Kelly after PC's cancellation to fill the role of Brenda.  Guza never thought VM was going to leave and literally had built the show around her.  Dumb idea, but Kelly came in to finish it off.  Brazen/S&B were always the story.  I think Jax was just an outsider in all the Brenda stories, so Kelly just picked up where the ruins were.  I mean I get the Guza idea: S&B baby, Brazen, it's kinda golden but without Brenda it's just another Sonny baby mama.

GH spent far too many years trying to replace Brenda in the worst ways.  It wasn't going to happen hence the rise of Carly as a lead.

PREACH. I've never been a fan of Sam for many reasons. Talk about one of the most useless characters ever. LOL

Me too.

Pretty much all of this

Yesss ... lol

Everyone's saying all I've thought for years and years. I sort of like Kelly but Sam is just so pointless and useless and has always felt like a placeholder.

    • Except she never worked there at all and barely even knew where the Chancellor Industries plant was located  In 1980, Kay attempted to install Derek Thurston (her third husband) in a position at Chancellor Industries.  The show introduced a character named George Packard who'd supposedly been running Chancellor since Phillip's demise in 1975.  (George Packard's storyline in 1980 was attempting to keep Derek Thurston from bankrupting the company.)   We didn't hear much of anything about Chancellor Industries for the next twenty-five years.  Then, at that point, we met Eliot Hampton (?) who'd been running the company for decades and had been embezzling from it.  Jill took it upon her herself to oust Eliot Hampton (?) and take control of the company.  That's when Kay became actively involved in the management of the company.  From 1974 till 2004 Kay Chancellor was strictly a hands-off owner.  It was downright absurd that the last ten years of life, she was written as this formidable businesswoman who'd always been involved in Chancellor Industries.
    • Well, it's going to be something when he finds out the truth.  Agreed.  On that note, I can't until it all comes out. I find Lulu to be ridiculous.
    • I almost posted this because that was my initial reaction too:  this is weird/cringe, to sing around a piano after such a huge family shattering bomb was dropped.  But I got over that and just enjoyed her voice, the song and the montage we saw as everyone's emotions in the aftermath were pouring out.
    • The Equalizer original series was not a big hit yet it became a movie franchise and got a reboot series. The Equalizer reboot lasted 5 seasons, so one season longer than the original series.

His social media/IMDb doesn't have his age but from some posts he's made, I'm guessing 1989 is his birth year.
    • Here's the timeline, as I recall it being published. The WGA strike was 5/2–9/27/2023 Annalynne McCord was announced as being hired in December 2023, for a one-year contract https://deadline.com/2024/06/days-of-our-lives-when-to-expect-annalynne-mccord-peacock-1235975806/ RonC's first scripts back from the strike began airing May 31, 2024 (around Konstantine & Maggie's wedding) https://www.tvinsider.com/1137709/days-of-our-lives-writers-return-15000th-episode-storylines/ Her first air date was June 19th 2024. The actress has said she was not told who she would be playing until she started taping. RonC 's replacements were announced July 2024, with his scripts airing through April 2025 Side note: DAYS social media team seems to be playing fast and loose with BTS videos, in terms of how far in advance they film content (e.g. their April Fools' Joke videos were clearly not filmed on 4/1/25), so we shouldn't assume anyone's current status, versus those who were there nine months ago.
    • April and her husband (Draper) are the "young leads" who tie all the storyline threads together.  They're normally in the center of the action.  In this particular storyline, Draper is the attorney who represents Paige Madison.  (The district attorney, Logan Swift, has given Paige Madison "temporary immunity from prosecution" if she will lead the police to the members of the Tobias Gang who stole the firearms.  But Paige mainly just ducks bullets from various gang members who pop-up to assassinate her.)
    • It's one thing to post about a soap's rumors or gossip, which in point of fact we've all done. It's another to present yourself as the inside source who knows something to be fact that's about to break wide, then backtrack and call it just Twitter speculation. Between those two extreme poles you have to commit to one or the other. If I got something wrong, I'd say it. (Nor would I keep playing insider after what I pulled with Drake Hogestyn, which should've gotten someone permanently banned.) And regardless, you don't open with this 'news' you don't actually want to stand by yet by mocking DRW's extremely valid concerns re: how the Trina character and Tabyana Ali has been marginalized and put out to virtual pasture ever since the day NAC left. Her playing out her current contract in a C-storyline with Kai does not change that.
    • Yeah, I thought it would be more explosive or heated and it was kind of standard.  Both can do more with the material.  I just don't think the writing was there.
