It makes NO SENSE that they didn't move into the Chancellor mansion, except the truth is they probably don't want to use that set. Instead we get STUPID discussions about how crowded the Abbot "mansion" is and living over the garage, etc.

And why can't Dina be told who Billy and Phyllis are? Why do they have to constantly LIE to her? I understand going along with an Alzheimer patient, but does that mean you can't say "THIS IS YOUR RELATIVE"???

Summer is on  Jaboat, going around in circles with no cell phone? So who's piloting the boat? Isn't this frickin KIDNAPPING???

The Victoria stuff with Nikki is putrid. Nikki climbs in bed with her in the middle of the day? Where in the hell are Victoria's KIDS? Oh, I guess they're at school until 5.

This show is such a sh_itshow I can't believe it.

Today's show was better than it's been in a bit. Though, their interaction was brief, I enjoyed Abby/Nate interacting and saw chemistry between them.  I also liked Abby talking with Devon. And Devon and Victor interacting with Victor giving him advice.

Also, while I didn't care for Jordi Vilasuso as Griffin on All My Children,  I am liking him as Ray. I like him and Sharon together.

I am glad that Summer wasn't on today (or yesterday). The show has been focusing too much on her. And it was nice seeing Dina pop up. We really haven't seen much of her in a while.

    • Rita's rape is an episode i constantly search on YouTube hoping one day that it will show up. I always feel like I may have seen it, but I was only 6 at the time and can never figure any of the things I have vague recollection of

FROM THE VAULT: NON-SOAP DAYTIME RATINGS: HIGHLIGHTS FROM AUGUST 1973 & NOVEMBER 1973:
    • The rape was in 1979 after they were married. Blake was the result of Holly cheating with him while she was married to Ed. I believe she was born in 1975.
    • No. Ed and Holly were married and having problems. She had an affair with Roger and that's when Christina--Blake--was conceived. The rape happened much later, after Holly and Roger were married.
    • Was Blake the product of Roger raping Holly, or did that come after when they were a couple?
    • I really wish we could see that episode...absolutely, my memory could be faulty, it was a very long time ago. I'm not going to contradict what the actors said--there has to be a reason it made them so uncomfortable that they talked about it in the press and complained to TPTB. I think that was the first one where they made the point that they wanted to educate the audience about the subject.
    • I just did with GL and its made me very happy!

Oh yes, trying to get into any soap from scratch starting post-2010 would be hard. I prefer to go back to the good ol' days, before the decline.
    • Can we talk about how iconic the 1994 tornado was on AMC? I was scanning through old episodes last night and came across this episode. The tornado was epic and the storylines/aftermath were so good (Julia's scar/Noah!; Jenny/Ray/Nola/Jesse in heaven with Tad, etc).  For 1994, these special effects and budget for this big event were amazing. 10 out of 10!  The only thing missing is Erica!  I can't recall where Erica was at the time, but I really wish she had been involved in this storyline.

    • On the way to her own engagement party? I've read that the show had trouble getting the audience to sympathize with Rita, but...that seems bizarre. Maybe I can understand the issue with the censors, given that at the time, rape wasn't depicted the way it is now, and marital rape was even less acknowledged.  Wasn't Chris Brooks' rape one of the first honest stories on the subject? I just don't think I could get into a show I didn't have a working knowledge of. I know it's a different era, but I really tried to get into GH once Maura West joined, but it just never jelled.
