This is actually a great list of nominees. Sentimental favorite is Marla.

Firstly, I totally forgot these were being announced today. Oh well. Such a blah list. They ought to just get rid of Younger Actor & Actress and put the few deserving (Casey Moss) in supporting categories. It's 2018, not 1985. There aren't 14 soap casts to choose from, nor is there a risk of a 20-year-old overshadowing a veteran 50-year-old... unless of course Marci Miller actually wins. Lord... 

 

Let's go with Eileen Davidson, James Reynolds, Marla Adams, Casey Moss, and the rest I honestly don't care either way. 

 

(Nice to see Susan Seaforth-Hayes get a nod, even though her acting can range from compellingly touching to campy shrew) 

 

Edit: I don't think James Reynolds is necessarily the best (and in some cases, kinda cringe-worthy), I just think it'd be nice for him to finally get some recognition.

Not that this matters anymore with only four shows and nobody cares...I still think to be nominated for lead on a show your episode count has to be in the top 10 or 15 on your show for the year.  That means no leads masquerading as supporting anymore and no show supporting nominating someone they don’t use.

 

 I love James Reynolds, but he is not the lead actor on his show.  Not even the lead actor in stories involving his character this year.

 

Nice to see the supporting category has people like Susan Seaforth Hayes, Wally Kurth,  and Marla Adams.  All are actual supporting players on their shows, although Marla was used way more.

Hmm okay. Morgan and Vernee are the only familiar faces to the masses, I would say. Let's go with Morgan just for kicks 'n giggles. I wanna see her wiggle her way onto the stage. 

marci miller submitted the one episode where she isn't acting like she's sedated.  Her being included in the Best Actress category just proves the whole practice of daytime soap awards should be dismantled.

JMW is anything but supporting, and JMc hasn't been a lead on this show for decades

Remember - there is no submission of anything at this point.  Winners have already been determined based on the second "blue ribbon panel" voting that determined these nominations.
