I'm not hating the show either. It's far from "great" but it's not been too awful. LOL. Even though I can't stand Finn/Anna, Julian, Franco with Liz, and Nina, the rest isn't so bad. I think Shelly and Chris have been mixing the cast up better. I actually feel a slight bit of an effort to inject some heart back into the show. It'll never be what it once was but I do feel a difference. I can't pinpoint exactly what it is though.

Maybe it's just me, but especially on the 12/20 episode, there was actually a Carlivati-esque rhythm to the progression of scenes, though the scenes were missing RC's trademark one-liners.

My favorite thing is that the Quartermaines feel like an actual family again. Sure they’ve killed off most of the adults, but I will say it appears there’s been a genuine effort to rebuild the family. I don’t remember the last time Monica was used this much in ages.

Good god this heavy handed writing to redeem Julian is nauseating.

Sonny, Carly, and Jason proudly talking about taking Michael from AJ was gross, especially knowing the story ends with Sonny killing AJ.

I haven't watched GH in a few years but this would kill me.  AJ is my fav. character and I can't even with how this played out over 15ish LONG years.  The mob three are such contemptible, disgusting characters, and it has been utterly sickening to see decades of them being treated as alternative heroes.

That's kind of why I've kind of gotten a kick out of Nelle... just wish a stronger actress was playing the character.. because she's a mirror to what Carly was like in her 20s.

I cringe when I see those 3 together.

I agree with all of you on Sonny, Jason and Carly.

And the ridiculous gag-worthy way they're trying to 'redeem' Julian.

Speaking of which...they should have made Nelle her secret daughter and let her rain wrath down on Carlybabes.

I like that Drew made HIS feelings for Sonny and Jason’s strange obsessive devotion to him known. Very enjoyable.

I enjoyed the scenes too, and I'm glad the writers made the decision to take a pretty far-fetched story and inject some realism and ambiguity into the situation.  It is unlike anything I am familiar with from soaps the past.  I am not the violent type, but I think I would have enjoyed the scenes between Drew and Sonny even more if Drew said, to Sonny, "You sure forget me in a New York minute!" and then WHAM!, smacked Sonny on the side of the head.  Better still if Drew knocked Sonny and Carly's heads together, Three Stooges style!

It was a story beat I wasn’t expecting but I’m glad it was addressed. I don’t even think we need him talking to Carly at this point.

I have a feeling they will end up doing something totally drastic for Drew to go after Sonny (or Jason) in the future....like I see Oscar accidentally getting shot by one of them...
