I hadn't seen these on here yet but I own as well for general there is:

Serial Monogamy by Christine Scodari (which I really loved reading this book too!!!)

Soap Opera: The Inside Story of Procter & Gamble by Alecia Swasy

The Unofficial Guide to Daytime Soap Operas 1950 - Present by Kirk Cunningham

The two Y&R books I have I haven't seen mentioned yet:

The Young and the Restless: Most Memorable Moments by Mara Cassata and Barbara Irwin

The Young and the Restless, Special Silver Anniversary Collector's Edition, also by Cassata and Irwin

Recently, I came across this 1976 Dissertation.

In it, it discusses the creation of a show, specifilly, an episode.  In the appendix there are 2 OLTL breakdowns, one hand  written, and the script to the typed breakdown.

It analyzes the overall creative process and compares long term projections to the breakdowns to the final script.  The illustrating points are fascinating.
