A half naked Eli was a pleasant sight. The doggelganger shenanigans is embarrassingly bad. I liked Lucas and John sharing scenes. Both Brady and Nicole have become so played out. Brady was an intolerable prick.  A clean shaven Eric was also a pleasant sight. It's summer in Salem yet John had a suede jacket. Maggie and Nicole wore sweaters in early August Anjelica wore a floral sack.

The story is awful. I don't know what DH had planned for the Anjelica story but the switch to this one by Ron Carlivati is really horrible.

It's summer here too but the temp dropped to 39 overnight the other night and low 40s last night. Maybe Salem is just cold too.

How the hell is Rafe even still a thing? It's obvious that Galen Gering hates acting and he's got no charisma. I don't seem to recall him ever having chemistry with any characters.

LOL I was so enjoying the break from them! Rafe's ass can stay in Mexico. I loved Eli shutting them both down.

 

Really enjoyed John having scenes with Eric and with Lucas.

 

I agree Anjelica standing over Adrienne as she was passed out in front of the Pub was a bit ludicrous but this dopplganger story isn't really going to be long-term. Just laugh at the absurity and move on. It is what it is.

 

And yes to those suggesting Lastovic is made for porn. He SO is. LOL

And if some of you think the show is so awful, maybe it's time to take it off the DVR for a while and take a break I see some faults but I've given up applying logic to soaps, ESPECIALLY Days. Just have fun with it.

I really don't understand how he's survived multiple writing changes and has been on the show for almost ten years now. Does he have dirt on someone? Does NBC love him? I don't get it.

God, Galen has been acting in soap operas for what 20 years? How can he be so stale?

 

Yeah, this dopplegänger storyline is what it is. In my head I just tend to put a laugh track to it. There's no need to overanalyze it.

Also, I so don't expect a follow-up on the dopplegänger storyline on Wednesdays episode.

 

And by the way, isn't the area outside the Brady pub supposed to be fairly populated? Crap, I know they are starved for cash and can't afford extras, but come on... I'd assume that the Brady pub actually turns a profit so people would be going in and out of it, especially at breakfast hour (as shown by Anjelica offering Adrienne breakfast)...

 

Why am I even trying to make sense of this plot?

Good point Melroser.  I guess Salem suffers from climate change too. But still that floral thing Anjelica  worn was hideous.
