She nearly was ruined. Nicole was. Chloe was. Maggie was. Victor was. Philip, Lucas, Eric were sacrificed for Daniel ... sigh. And he STILL gets mentioned. Dena must have really had the hots for him. Somebody did.

Jennifer showed a lot of spunk yesterday IMO. It was refreshing. I saw a lot of Jennifer fans commenting on how much she resembled how she used to be.

Ron won't have weak reactionary women. Look how much more pro-active Abby has become since last Wednesday. And you have Hattie and Bonnie and Anjelica and their schemes. Marlena's had airtime again. Adrienne was given a POV. I see lots of little improvements.

FFS why are they still mentioning the orange wonder? Who liked Daniel so much that the mentions even fall over to the Ron era? What sort of favours did he do to the writers that make him so god-damn special?

you know, when Drake first came on Days.....he was truly a fine actor. it took his acting IMPO to convince viewers he was now playing Roman. because there were scenes where he actually captured Wayne's cadence....and when JER took over or around them parts, he just went to hell.

It was before JER.  It was when Roman came back and he was John Black, man of mystery.  He was charming when he was playing Roman.  The family dynamic, the cop scenes, he had chemistry with many ladies and he was attractive.  Once he wasn't Roman you could tell he was not sure how to play things, the writers kept changing his past  (that we can blame on JER), and he kind of settled into squinty mcsexy voice.  It's been downhill mostly ever since.

He lost a lot when he lost that Brady vibe.

I actually found myself wishing Wayne would come back and Drake being a fake Roman (because his acting started consisting of him shouting at everyone). then when Wayne left the first time, I kinda wanted him to go back to being Roman. But I do agree with you.....when he stopped being RB and turned John "James Bond/Jason Bourne" Black, it just went to hell. he lost the family vibe and for an actor who had chemistry with everyone.....both Shawn & Caroline, Bo & Hope, Kim, Shane, Kayla & Steve.....the kids....the entire cast, I have asked myself over the last twenty some odd years "who told him to start acting like that?"

Overall, fun episode on Monday. Bonnie & Hattie being a blast, some good stuff with Eric & Jen, Maggie didn't annoy me (much as I love her, she often annoys me, depending on how she's scripted). It sounds like she may ALSO be getting a story with Bonnie involved, and that's good for me. John, Paul, and Xander all grunting at each other for an hour and looking yummy. I'm OK with that.

At least they tried!

I usually don't react when someone gets slapped but when Abby slapped Dario, I said, "Woah."  I was surprised by how hard and real that slap was. lol

I actually like this Dark Dario. We should've seen him plot and plan for months to get and marry Abby. Then you build up to him getting caught. That classic soap stories get ratings.

Loved seeing Steve doing sign language to Kayla.

Useless Gabi being useless. Having to be protected and coddled by Chad while pretending to be a strong, tough, independent woman. Whatever.

Loved Hope and Rafe being scolded by Raines.

Marci Miller is going to be a star for this show. You can tell when she's written strongly, like when she walked into the room Dario was in and gave him that fierce look. If they continue like this, she'll be a spectacular recast. It doesn't work as well when she's bubbling and scaredy (which is always tougher to pull off).

Jennifer confronting Brady and then that sweet ending with the donuts was great. That exchange about jealousy and pride was on point!

The letters stuff was also very interesting. That shot of Eric coming back to the office and Nicole thanking him was written, directed, and acted as classic soap.

That cliffhanger -- if you come with me! -- was great.

    • I also get why Gio feels his life was a lie. I get everyone's emotions are high now That's why I think Monica passing will be the catalyst that starts to the healing process for Gio, BLQ, Lois, Tracy, Ned, Olivia and Dante
    • Judging by the fact that I was able to watch two episodes today, looks like Canada being a day ahead might be permanent.
    • Agreed! I normally don't rate Amanda Setton that highly as an actress, but she knocked those scenes out of the park. Between this and the Michael storyline, I think we're in for a week of juicy drama. I heard everyone talking about how dull Rory Gibson was on Y&R, but I thought he was pretty good today playing a steelier version of Michael. And I loved Wiley's little "Bye mommy!" moment. The writers clearly know how much most of us hate Willow if they're tossing out little nuggets of schadenfreude like that one.
    • Slower day, but not bad. I thought Tomas was at his personal best today, flirting with Kat at Uptown.  Hayley is pregnant!  Oh boy... Samantha felt more like the babysitter today vs. the young sister. I'm ready to meet Sharon. I want a strong dynamic so it's not a repeat of what we just saw with Tracy's reunion.
    • They've been on same day for three episodes, which is a good thing because the days flowed weird to me before.
    • I see both Lois and BLQs sides re Gio BLQ wanted her son to be happy. Lois wanted to make sure it happened, so she gave him to family. Selfish?  Yes, but I get it Gio was raised by a loving mother and extended family. Lois followed BLQ wishes Great acting by AS & RS

date: Tuesday, May 27 | Christopher Dunn, Lynn Martin | Steven Williford I feel bad for Chelsea; she's exploring her feelings, and they're getting [unintentionally] hurt. But I love the support that Katherine has for her cousin. Bradley, you deserve one hundred times better than Deadbeat. So much more. Anita essentially tossing Tracy out... whew. She's done. DONE. Ouch... Chelsea hit the nerve with Katherine. How interesting... I feel like Tracy is becoming the mirror Anita has been avoiding while being a Dupree. What are these top secret things she's harbouring? I really hope Jessica's interest in Tyrell is genuine, because if it isn't, it might just destroy him. Back alley meetings? Your family? As if Bradley is not part of your family... Deadbeat, sit your ass down. Hey, Childbride, lower your damn voice. You're in the country club, not the country field where your ass belongs. And oh God, she's knocked up. Whew... here we go! Dante Greene, what control did this man have? But I appreciate that Anita and Tracy are uniting together; I pray that Sharon joins them soon. I love how easy Katherine and Tomas are with each other; it's smooth, it's natural and it's blooming in all the right ways. Hayley is about to battle the Dupree women for all she's worth. I am calling it right now. The unwavering support Vernon continues to provide to Anita is paramount; I adore them as the couple they are. Notes: Mike Manning (Bradley) continues to show up time and time again in scenes with Brandon Claybon (Deadbeat), who brings nothing to the table. There is an extreme lack of romantic chemistry between them. I'm wondering how different Dante Greene is going to be in comparison to Berry Gordy Jnr; we know the true history of Diana Ross and the Supremes, but how different will it be with Anita Williams and the Articulettes?
    • This episode is beyond excellent Could have waited on tge Trina Kai scenes  but regardless  great soap
    • Haha same! I didn't like her in the beginning, but over time, I've really grown to love to hate her as a villain.  I can't wait to listen to today's new episode later tonight! I've been waiting for the mom and dad (Crystal/Vincent) to have an interaction, so I'm happy to hear it's today.
    • I've always really been enjoying the show. It's very well produced and has so many soap stars in it. I was just listening to ep 7 on YoutTube and can say I'm hooked. There was an intense scene with Crystal Chappell and Vincent Irizarry about halfway through that was GOOD! Is it bad I kind of like Mina? I know she's supposed to be the main villian
