Rebecca Budig, who signed a four-year contract with GH last summer, has been let go from the role of Hayden Barnes. She was informed of the show’s decision last month and will tape her final scenes this week, before the show begins a three-week summer hiatus. A GH source tells Digest that the ouster was viewed as a storyline necessity. A show rep reminds Digest that ABC does not comment on actors’ contracts. I think this was in the works prior to Jeans retirement. Jean did retire as she is still there until August. Nathan Varni wished Jean a happy birthday. Shes beloved by cast and crew.

 

I like Rebecca Budig but i feel.the character of Hayden has fizzled. Honestly i think its time for her to go. She doesnt fit in with Shellys contemporary plans for GH.

Maybe they can recast Hayden with Sabine Sligh.

I don't remember them having much connection, as I think it was Agnes who brought her into AMC. 

 

 

Jean P best thing waa her Leo/Greenlee coupling she did 

Everytime she comes on, ratings of the soap tanks. AMC, GH.

Rebecca was very popular on AMC but the character of Greenlee was such a great one. Hayden was actually better concieved under Ron as a troublemaker sleeping with Nikolas..she had grear chemistry with TC.

It was Agnes who created the role of Greenlee and I think also had her in mind

It's also probably to free up money for Steve Burton

Maybe the rumors about ME leaving are true

Gotta make room for Burton in budget.
