Of course, now we know he had Alzheimer's. So maybe he didn't have as much influence as I thought at the end???? I hope what Kay wrote for Jill was because she was the one who was invested in her. It gives me some reason to remain optimistic. No worries. Bell stepped down as Headwriter in mid-1998, after which he remained a Senior Executive Producer while Kay Alden headwrote (later, with co-HWs). I'm sure he had a degree of influence but the material was Alden's and you could sense the lessening influence after 2003, a year or so before Bell passed away. It was very clear that Jill was one of Alden's favorites. That material will forever solidify Jill as one of my favorite characters of all time.

I'm gonna reserve my other opinions about the casting b/c I don't wanna go there... Well, I'll be damn if you're not right. I just saw a snap of LS's where she said her aunt was fascinated by Noah, the actor that plays Charlie, as he played a guitar. Said aunt is Asian. Looks Chinese. Edited May 3, 20178 yr by ajsp35801

May 4, 20178 yr Member While it's a shame that it isn't on TV, it's content was better than the Vegas shows
May 4, 20178 yr Member It was not a badly produced show And NLG is spot on though I despise having to agree with her.
May 4, 20178 yr Member I actually think the clips of the earliest Daytime Emmy ceremonies are quite charming. The first took place at Rockefeller Plaza. The cast and crew of The Doctors would just have had to leave the 30 Rock building to attend. The second ceremony happened on a yacht traveling on the Hudson River. The fourth was located at Tavern on the Green in Central Park. All took place in the daytime hours and outdoor venues. I think they should do that again.

NLG was being a hypocrite since she post on the same night pics of her making out with he costar for fanfair and objectifies her costar in interviews all the time.
