JFP and Ron would not mix well, nor would she work for Corday.  She's hopefully done as a daytime EP.  I can't imagine a worse fit for his type of stories.

I highly doubt he has been in place long considering Dena tweeted she was very recently fired as the announcement was made public.

Ron became FB friends with Meng a few years ago.  I would suspect Sony/Corday looked at him back when OLTL was being cancelled. Ron was hot property and ABC kept him on.  Ron posted in early Jan that he was out in LA; clearly this writer switch was in the work for months and I bet Ron's been watching both Days and YR; hell Sony may have been paying him as a consultant for the last six months or year.  Who knows.  Ron is not coming in completely cold turkey though.  Stories have had to been laid out given their shooting schedule.  They were just waiting to see if NBC decided to renew the show.  They must know that they are getting at least till end of 2018 or they wouldn't have changed up the head writers.  Now let's purge a few of the writers.  We don't need 17 writers and Ron has never worked with such a large staff.  I think Dave Ryan and Elizabeth Snyder will go from the breakdown staff; and David Cherrill and Cyndy Kelly will go from the script staff.

So amazing to see who has started following Carlivati on Twitter:  Michael Muhney (wants a job); Tracy Melchior (wants a job); Galen Gering (wants to keep his job); Kyle Lowder (wants a job); James Reynolds (wants to keep his job); and Brandon Beemer.  Kissing some head writer butt.  LOL

    • Y & R has always been a day ahead in Canada (or was for years) so I don't mind if BTG is a day ahead in Canada as well.
    • She always does. She is aces. Top three actresses on this soap.
    • Blame: 90% Lois; 75% Lulu. Today I finally said, JANE ELLIOT Just go ahead & give her all the awards! She blew my mind. But, I still say that there is no one "bad guy" in this story. You can see so many people's points of view. What I like most about this gigantic umbrella storyline. I've been a daily watcher of soaps since the 1970s & this may be the best I've ever seen. I said same last week &  now I'm saying it again. In a way GH has had their foot on the gas since February sweeps, non-stop & I have a sneaking feeling they're not gonna put on the brakes until July sweeps.  What is left to reveal? Sex between Nina & Drew. Joss being WSB. Who killed Cyrus? Who killed Jagger? Who killed Austin? Is Sonny leaving the mob? Will Natalia be killed? Okay, I've just gone too far, back it up to "mob". So, show of hands, who here thinks Michael cut his treatment short? Sasha asked was he in pain? And he replied, Nothing I can't handle. So, he is & he did. That means Carly was right. I know people hate that.
    • Ugh. I genuinely hope not; I pray, somehow, CHCH-DT is told to provide a one-day pause. The last thing we need is a Y&R situation with this soap. I'm pretty sure Samantha is the older twin.
    • As usual, Jane Elliot stole the show. GM was good as Gio as were Rena, Dominic, and Amanda.   I also thought the actress that plays Emma was low key, but perfect at the same time-just listening and reacting.
    • I'm surprised it took me this long to get into RH. The soap is so damn good, I am just as obsessed with the Ryan's as Delia. The Ryans are a great family unit and seem like good people. I wish I had a family like that. This show has so many parallels to BTG. Frank's mystery is very similar to Martin's. Both are my favorites on each show. adding more thoughts soon once I get a consistent watch going.
    • I also get why Gio feels his life was a lie. I get everyone's emotions are high now That's why I think Monica passing will be the catalyst that starts to the healing process for Gio, BLQ, Lois, Tracy, Ned, Olivia and Dante
    • Judging by the fact that I was able to watch two episodes today, looks like Canada being a day ahead might be permanent.
    • Agreed! I normally don't rate Amanda Setton that highly as an actress, but she knocked those scenes out of the park. Between this and the Michael storyline, I think we're in for a week of juicy drama. I heard everyone talking about how dull Rory Gibson was on Y&R, but I thought he was pretty good today playing a steelier version of Michael. And I loved Wiley's little "Bye mommy!" moment. The writers clearly know how much most of us hate Willow if they're tossing out little nuggets of schadenfreude like that one.
    • Slower day, but not bad. I thought Tomas was at his personal best today, flirting with Kat at Uptown.  Hayley is pregnant!  Oh boy... Samantha felt more like the babysitter today vs. the young sister. I'm ready to meet Sharon. I want a strong dynamic so it's not a repeat of what we just saw with Tracy's reunion.
