‘The Young and the Restless’ Star Eric Braeden Deletes Offensive Tweet, Says His Account Was Hacked

oh jeez....

lol I actually believe him. He's very political and that doesn't seem like the type of thing he'd post. 

He's outspoken but not stupid. He'd never risk his career by posting something so offensive. I believe him too that it was hacked. JMO. And aren't there ways to prove someone had been hacked?

I don't believe him. He's not that big of a name for anyone to take the time to hack to post a meme about him. Hackers post porn. Not racist memes.

I guess I don't either.  I figure he thought it was ok to refer to himself that way. I don't know why it's hard for people who aren't black to realize it's never ok to use that word.

I believe him. He retweeted something anti-racist a few days before and these days that's all it takes for some reddit racist hacker to target you. It's not like you even have to be famous.

I also thought he felt it was cool. It's not like the meme was offensive in that kinda of way. He probably thought it was funny. Which had a black fan posted it, it would've probably been met with laughter.

With that said, Meh, this isn't some big to do IMO. I don't think EB is that kind of guy anyway.

If you're a reddit racist trying to label someone as a racist, I doubt that's the meme you'd choose. 

I believe him. And that meme isn't racist, it's all about context and the context is clearly a black person saying they were raised with a grandmother that watched Y&R.

I believe him...but this "he's not that big a name"? Why not? because he's been on Y&R all this time? he actually had a career before he ever joined Y&R. and I remember celebrities and entertainers from many walks of life who knows who he is and what he does. He has come off as an arrogant [!@#$%^&*] very true....but I do not agree he's not that big a star to not be hacked. JMPO. 

Wasn't he in the old version of Planet of the Apes? He is know then, all his old fans haven't die out yet.

Just cause other celebs know him, doesn't mean the average man does. By big name, I mean someone easily recognizable in any household like, i.e. Mel Gibson, Denzel Washington. 

Oh I absolutely think people are underestimating his popularity. When it comes to soaps, Eric Braeden is up there with Susan Lucci. Also on twitter he is very outspoken about his politics so he is a prime target to be hacked. People with much lower profiles than him have been attacked for having a liberal opinion so this isn't a huge shock. 

People may not know his name but they certainly know Victor Newman. 

The fact that the meme exists proves that EB, at least visually, is a highly recognized figure in the TV industry.

I think the meme is funny as hell.
