It sure does. His poor son being with him. They were playing hockey. They seemed like a very close and loving family.

How awful. I never liked Growing Pains very much but he was a warm and funny comic presence. He was also on Hope & Gloria, an underrated sitcom. It seems like in recent years he was mostly known for his son Robin but he clearly kept on working.

And of course he was married to Gloria Loring (Liz Chandler, DAYS) for years.

I really wish I'd watched more of his silly scripted reality show on Pop, I think it'll be too sad to do so now.  I certainly watched GP as a kid, and my goodness, what can I say about those classic theme songs...

Mr. Thicke hosted a Saturday afternoon show about animals that I watched faithfully.  His co-host was a cute (treacly?) little hedgehog puppet.

Whenever Robin is mentioned, I always think of Brennan who has always been the "star" offspring of the family since he voiced Dennis the Menace.  My cousins and I watched every weekday after school.

RIP Robin Thicke

I loved Growing Pains, I loved Unusually Thicke, I loved Rich Ginger on B&B, and I loved Alan Thicke the person. He had a terrific sense of humour about himself. He was a proud Canadian. Gone way too soon.
