Wow.  I had no knowledge of that quote.  One thing that proves how little JFP knew is the fact that today, viewers will practically do handsprings if JZ makes an appearance on the show!  I'm with those viewers--I wouldn't mind watching her make out, or whatever it is that contains some meaty material for her.

It was about Scotty and Bobbie? I thought all along it was after those love scenes between Stefan and Bobbie. Some of them were pretty hot.

Part of what's so wrong about this is that GH viewers are not all young physically fit people so why make an assumption that all viewers want to see the same thing? One of my younger friends always said she liked watching soaps to see all of the generations. Back then it wasn't unheard of for older people to drive stories.

Then again, that's "Good girls are boring" JFP and it's how she thinks. No inclusivity in that woman's heart, that's for sure, although Frons was much the same way. He was more inclined to cast women by their bra size and not care about anything else.

I think Frank's pretty well aware that viewers want to see JZ and Bobbie. He just tweeted again about her. And man, do the fans get on him, but mostly in a good way. It's hilarious. One even has a hashtag #GHVetsOverFranksPets

And Jackie is so respectful towards the writers too she always thanks them for her scenes and Frank as well. I'm sure she wants to keep working and was screwed by the show for a while but it still makes me love her all the more for how she thanks them.

Correct!

I remember they set it up like Tony could be a suspect but I always thought that was going to be just a suspicion,  not an actual possible outcome.

I always thought Tony was judgemental and insufferable, from his relationship with Frisco to his marriage with Bobbie.  But his character was put through such an emotional time to turn him so angry and dark then just forget about him instead of building him back up was, IMO, a mistake.  I'm not saying I wanted him back with Bobbie.  But if I could have had a really great story building Tony back up and them ending up together over Roy's return, I would rather stick with Tony and forget Roy.

Tony Jones was never one of my favorites, but having worked with neurosurgeons, his attitude is pretty much the norm. They're definitely odd ducks. I worked for one guy who had a penchant for operating on the wrong side of people's brains or whatever and it was kind of Ooops, no big deal. He never got in trouble for malpractice either, which is seriously amazing.

However, Tony really got put through the wringer. BJ's death, Carly's BS games, Lucas' poisoning, Helena and Stavros, Jason breaking his hands. It was one of the worst roller coaster rides ever.

I asked Michele Val Jean on Facebook and she said it was never gonna be tony. They always wanted Liz's rapist to be a small character so it would be about Liz and then about Lucky learning about Luke raping Laura

Thank you for researching this topic by going to a person who was involved with the development of the original story.  Her answer to you would be consistent with her confusion over hearing about the recent story line where Liz's rapist was kept in a dog cage.  Apparently, a "small character" wouldn't have gotten so much airtime by being put in a cage under her pen.  I'm sure Jelly had their reasons for that OTT development.  Perhaps it was an attempt on their part to shed the label of "Snooze Queens".  I would have expected something like the dog cage story from RC rather than Jelly.  I know there are alot of differing opinions, but I thought RC did OTT well.  IMHO, I think Jelly should stick to realistic drama and stay away from mob wars and mysteries.  Their version of mob wars and mysteries are a bit too talky for my tastes, though I do give them credit for trying.

    • That was so surprising to me today. I didn’t see any spoilers that this was coming up so I loved it!
    • Well, VI was leaving, and while Long admits that killing him was stupid...I do agree with letting him go with a big bang...body missing.  They spent a lot of time and money on Infinity, (which I think might have gotten a bit of a better reputation had it not been the harbinger of a total tonal change with the Bauers and Reardon's decimated and its all Reva and the Lewis and the weird people hanging out around Kyle) so they needed it to end dramatically. They could have done so much more with having Alex go after Kyle and Billy, but that ends and she starts moping over weird and boring Simon. With Kurt..what were you going to do.. cute but boring and perfect and with ties to no one (they had a nice little thing where Bea took him under her wing when everyone left but then she did too..) If they had the balls they would have had Rick and Mindy jump in the sack ( I know, Mindy should have learned birth control by then) I would have had it be Mindy who knows about Rick's drug use and she tries to help him...(not that nobody who came and went) of course, Kurt and Roxie misunderstand..that on top of her bad Sampson Girl thing leaves him to leave her temporarily, and in grand soap tradition, Rick and Mindy console each other (again, I would write it that they always really did, and Mindy rushed into things with Kurt) and she gets knocked up, and loving Rick but also Kurt she chooses to believe it is Kurts (which I could see Princess Mindy doing "My life is perfect and I will it that way, this is Kurts kid")But, she had the dumb model thing, then she burned down the house he was building, she tried to get prefers and he dies (but also Kobe was the one who built him up, then she was gone when he was let go.) Ross believe it or not is one of the last of the "old guard" characters, beside Ed (who is now FauxEd) and Maureen, and Henry and Van (who is ties to being the Lewis family mope.) JVD has made jokes that they didn't write him out as they simply forgot that he was there! Reva doesn't even call her mother when she comes back! I never saw the use of Sarah but they could have reunited them and sent her and Hawk out of town together. Hell, I don't like the Shaynes but she should have mentioned Roxie and Rusty.  The weird thing is that Dylan had a ton of story and was very important to the Van/Bridget baby custody story. By the time Reva comes back Dylan had only been gone a year so its not like people wouldn't know him..( I liked him and Bridget together...) So he comes back in 97 and acts like it's no big deal Reva is alive so they must have talked off camera. But Reva was too busy squacking about that annoying toothy Marah and blank Shayne to talk about anything else.  It's not quite as weird as Van, who obsessed over Peter, comes back to SF and never mentions him...i.e. "I saw Peter this weekend and he so barely remembers me but he is happy with Bridget and Dylan...")
    • Excellent! The OLTL-GH promo places this and the RH episode (which I assume aired directly before this AMC) as airing during the week of Aug. 20.
    • Thanks! There's never enough early 1980s AMC around.    The only actor I don't recognize is the actress playing Wanda, Mike's agent.
    • lol he sounds like he's speaking as Randy
    • Dani going to Bill's house is karma for how he messes with Martin. It is totally separate, but I can't feel sorry for Bill when he's constantly antagonizing a family he says he wants nothing to do with.
    • I understand what Lois did. I can see everyone's side, even if I don't agree with them.  That  proves it's a good story    Lois is far from ruined
