Add that the original Dynasty actually never made a huge deal about Krystle and Blake's age difference. That wasn't really portrayed as an issue on the original show.

I think what bothers me more (than Show's age) is the fact that Show, IMO, is dreadfully boring.

At least in MP he was good to look at which hid it.

Just because he's not an Amber Alert doesn't mean he's not still good looking.

As a child, the age difference made zero impression on me, I just saw two grown-ups.  Sure, JF was older than my grandfather, but LE never came across as young chippy wife either.

I think people forget, or just don't know, that Aaron Spelling originally wanted Angie Dickinson (age 49/50 at the time) for the role of Krystle. It was never supposed to be about the age issue, of course, getting Linda Evans meant that they could have a pregnancy in season two and later have her be pregnant with Krystina. That probably wouldn't have happened if Angie had taken the part.

Angie Dickinson was also an early choice for Sable, which I really can't picture.

Faye Dunaway was also an early choice for Sable. Faye being Faye, she wanted her salary to match Joan's salary on 'Dynasty'...she was not pursued after that.

I feel as though Angie Dickinson as Krystle would have been a bit stronger in regards to her interactions with Blake and Alexis. Not that LE was always a weak flower - lord knows she played Krystle's growing strength against Alexis wonderfully - but I'm not sure Blake would have been able to boss around AD the way he did LE.

Linda always seemed a little bit older than she actually was. She was in her very late 30s at the start of the show but easily played 5-10 years older.

I think the number one thing that they have to get right as far as ages are concerned is that Alexis and Blake were much more closer in age than Blake and Krystle were, BUT the Alexis/Krystle feud was never about Krystle being younger.

The casting of Grant Show (ex-Rick, RH; ex-Jake, MP) in the Blake Carrington role in the upcoming Dynasty reboot was an error. The reason is Grant Show is too young. Actors like Michael Douglas, Sean Connery, Roger Moore, George Lazenby, Richard Gere, Gregory Harrison, Bruce Boxleitner, Anthony Hopkins, Tommy Lee Jones, and other matured actors would have been suitable choices for the esteemed Carrington family patriarch.

All of these men are movie stars...and old as hell.

I didn't see this posted:

And this is a better picture of the guy (allegedly) playing Steven.

He's certainly not ugly. But I am surprised they didn't go with someone younger and hunkier looking.

The show has (at the moment) has exactly one straight white male lead. Pretty interesting.
