Posted this in the wrong thread earlier:

I never thought I'd feel bad for Jack, but damn Phyllis is cold. I can't believe she turned down a weekend trip with him, lied about going on a business trip and then planned to spend the weekend with Billy.  Talk about adding insult to injury.

I don't remember if she was this bad during the affair with Nick, but I don't think so.

Was Phyllis this bad during the Nick affair? I'm truly disgusted by the character.

I don't think there's anything that can ever top the sheer horrificness of Phyllis during the Nick affair and her immediate turn into some kind of perverse, giggling stepford wife. *shudders*

Hillary would bother with Mariah because even social climbers need real relationships in their lives. Oh, and Mariah's mother is pretty rich. It's pretty silly that the show is acting as if Sharon wouldn't be spoiling this girl rotten to make up for the past.  In terms of writing, it's simple common sense to try to humanize a character who is doing ugly things at any given time. If you don't, it's not long before that character is written into a corner.

Luckily, I think Hilary is going to get a little reset soon.  Her story doesn't even make sense. People married to billionaires don't need to social climb. They are already at the top. The idea that Hillary has to fight to be at the top of the GC social world is laughable.

That's why she needs a Katherine to her Jill if the show wants to continue writing her this way.  Katherine was always there to slap Jill back into her place (for right or wrong).

Yet another example of how Winters related stories can not be fully played due to lack of a suitable matriarch.  Lily can not play this role.

Lily is way too young. I'd bring Olivia back

CK isn't even 30! This has been my gripe this year - how the Lily character was stripped of her 20s! Lily should be hanging around Noah, Luca (that would be a hot affair), Travis, Mariah, Marissa, Summer and Natailie - not Neil and Cane. For that matter same goes for Abby. Please bring the 'Young' back to Y&R. The show is starting to remind me of ATWT with all the seniors on there. HOWEVER, like ATWT, Y&R does have solid vets so it could be worse. And I will credit Pratt for not really shoving a bunch of talentless newbies on us. Every actor who has been added since JH/GT had been worthy. Jury out on Bethany.

I feel the exact same about Devon and Hilary too. None of the younger black characters are allowed to be young because they are needed to give Neil a supporting cast and story.

Lily is thea most egregregious example though. They've been shoving her and CK into a role that neither can pull off. JMO.

I was literally horrified by that today. Just completely awful.

This whole story involving Adam being framed for Constance's "murder" that didn't happen is so frustrating to watch because it is so idiotic!

Especially since it really just sets up Chloe to be the same selfish sociopath she has always been since day one.

Frazzled Sharon's story has really got to end especially with these Sage nightmares popping up.

They are completely dragging out the Christian reveal and not in a good way. I get they are holding for July 'sweeps,' which I believe starts next week. But it's just not working on any level, except finally bringing SC & CG as screen partners again, which was long overdue. Everything else is just flat - even the Shick scenes are lacking.

Wonder how they'll wrap it all up?

I hope that Adam being the father comes out at same time. Originally it would've been ok to let Nick believe it and possible Shick reunion in a twisted way. The way things have unfolded since Burning Bush was cut down - I say skip to Adam and Sharon co-parenting.

I can't see Adam and Sharon co parenting. What possible reason would Adam have to complicate his family life in that way when he has a wife? All it would do is confuse Christian even more. A baby isn't a puppy. Sharon doesn't get to keep one just because it ended up on her doorstep.

Well, one is a rapist and one is Adam, so I don't know about *should*,  but yeah, I would expect Adam to want to parent his child with his wife.

I'm almost at 99% confident that JFP had every intention of allowing Dylan to keep this baby. He's the only one whose hands are completely clean so that when it comes out he can win custody in court. It's why Sage was killed instead of allowed to leave town with her baby.

However, with her ouster, I don't think that's going to happen. At least not permanently like she intended.
