Jean and Shelly deliver another solid consistent week. They are most stable head writers in the biz. They are up from last year as well. It's been just a pleasure to have them really introduce a new way of soaps that's actually yielding results

The facts don't lie smarttv has been in 2.8 range for months. It about feminism, love, heart, soul and nobody can deny their success. It's too bad Shelly Altman can't head write DAYS she has the Gusto it takes to bring days ratings up. Jean and Shelly really are what I call the dynamic duo in daytime.  Marlena Delacroix said it all in her column it was the most beautiful love letter to smarttv I have seen.

Thats still almost over a million less than what B&B has. The actually HH numbers and demos are what ATWT, AMC and OLTL were getting at the time of their cancellation…I actually think their demos were higher than what GH has now. There is nothing great about their numbers.

GH has been below BB for years so sorry. If GH is pulling same numbers these other soaps did five years ago when ratings were much higher for everything across the board it's a Damn miracle. Soapsuds I know u hated Jean on ATWT but u can't deny she is doing wonders for GH.

The thing to contrast them with is the show itself, not with a show that has had higher ratings for 20 years.   I find the show dull as dirt and gave up watching, but if they are doing in the 2s consistently then that is an improvement from the glory days of Jason and Sonny when Jason, Sam and Liz were bringing in the 1.7s like nobody's business.   Of course if the show had never brought Jason back ratings would be higher, but this is a tragic turn the show has taken.

Someone remember to look at ratings for Friday the 6th when they are released next week.  Every network in the DC area pre-empted because of the Maryland mass shooting coverage...no afternoon shows aired.  I'll be interested to see if there is a slight drop for one TV market.  People don't really think of the city of DC as that big (it's really not) but the suburbs of MD and VA it adds up to millions and the last time I checked, DC is the 9th largest TV market.  So I want to see if there are enough soap viewers to cause a noticeable drop.
