Well, *I* didn't like Jason Bateman AT ALL on Silver SpoonDis, but loved him on The Hogan Family/Valerie/Valerie's Family/etc.  :)

Didn't like as in, you didn't like his performance?  Or you didn't like the actual character he portrayed?   Bateman's character was a smarmy brat but I thought Bateman was talented without question.

I hope it's not Neil Patrick Harris that's picked. I can't stand him and get sick of seeing him pop up all over the place. Someone cracked that he makes sure he is at every awards show.....LOL

Just watching that clip, I can see why Michael got the promotion/raise. He comes off as relaxed, relatable, humorous and attempting to connect with his audience. She comes off as petty, interrupting, unfunny, head buried in papers with no connection to her audience or co-host. Don't know if she was like that before the recent situation - my viewing of this show was based solely on clips occasionally showing up on the much-missed The Soup - but I couldn't imagine watching an hour of that woman everyday.

Exactly.  Well said.

I'd be acting the same way if I were sitting next to someone I wanted to dick punch and had to pretend that I didn't.

Just being goofy. But yeah, I didn't like the character. Had no actual problem with him as an actor.

It seems like he has vanished…LOL.  He was everywhere….I am glad he has not been on TV anymore. I am hoping he doesn't get this job either….he annoys me.

I think the only times I have enjoyed Jason Bateman as an actor have been on "Silver Spoons," "It's Your Move," and of course, "Arrested Development."

Just last year, I ended up randomly watching a few episodes of It's Your Move on You Tube because I had little to no memory of the show.  I will say this- Tricia Cast is so underappreciated for being a child actor who made the transition to adult actor with no fuss.  Did SoapNet ever do a biography of her?  If not, they should have.  I'm fascinated- based on her character on that show vs. The Bad News Bears TV show, I wonder whether anyone (an agent) was trying to mold her into a TV version of Jodie Foster or perhaps Tatum O'Neil?  Did she resist?  What made her decide to do soaps? I wish we had real soap journalists, because I feel as if she'd make an interesting podcast guest/interview.

Arrested Development was perfect for him. I thought I was the only person on the face of the earth who watched "It's Your Move."
