Michael Strahan took a job to be more challenged he probably want to be her second banana. It's hard for me to feel sorry for Kelly when she makes 36000 in an hour on TV. She is beyond rich. Chit we actually agree on something. I feel like she chaneed from her soap days. She used to be funny cute and a joy. She's now vain, superficial, talks about herself non stop. Apparently she was screaming after declaring I am the star of this show this is my show. U know what speaks volumes about Ripa is Regis stated he hasn't spoken to her since the day he left. She didn't return his calls or texts.  I just feel an example of fame and celebrity and money changed Kelly Ripa into a different person. Isn't that sad? Plus she won't even talk about her soap past she never attends the daytime emmys. She's too good for all that now.

The Talk had discussion about it…saying that Kelly had gone on vacation to get away from it all….LOL….that she was upset about not being told about Michael leaving….and those rumors that she and Michael weren't that chummy after all...

And whatever happened to the show must go on?   She can sit in that mansion and bemoan how everyone has treated her horribly, but this whole incident reveals what a horrible diva she is.   She is an ex-soap actress who got plucked from obscurity to become a mega millionaire talk show star, and she is angry?   They should tell her to report to work or she's fired.     They could probably get Regis to take over for a month while they seek out new hosts and nobody would even notice or care.   Talk show hosts are pretty ephemeral when it comes to fame and audience affection.    Whatever became of Sally Jesse Raphael or Jenny Jones?  There have been a bunch of once famous chatters who everyone saw as being famous and needed, and then their show stopped and nobody ever gave them a second thought.    Star Jones thought she was a big shot too once upon a time.

I suspect we would have had a few withdrawals next year if Israel had won. I don't think many people would relish going to Jerusalem as things stand now. Not to mention it would have been a prime target for terrorist attacks.
    • And they've given us plenty. Sets, outdoor scenes, music licensing, etc. And that was the point of me using DAYS... so. It's obvious the casino set is not intended for long-term use, hence why it's likely it wasn't as evolved as the other community sets, etc.

    • I just had thought of how to save the Perkins family. (Inspired by Rituals) -- What if Marisa Perkins was Augusta Lockridge's sister? Fictionally, they could've both been local girls, one married rich and one married poor. Originally, I was going to suggest that Marisa be Sophia's sister, but then I realized Joe and Kelly would've been first cousins.  Of course, it would've truly inspired Sophia was if Rosa Andrade sister, with Rosa and Santana moving in to help CC raise the kids once Sophia disappeared.  While this could've avoided both gross CC and Santana affairs, the times were not right for a story about intersectional inequity.
    • https://www.instagram.com/p/DJxW5DLJLId/ Another World is my forever favorite soap opera. But it's finale is almost universally hated by its fans. What this is, is an edit where I've deleted everything I didn't like!!!
    • The Perkins family had potential to be a nice alternative to the more dysfunctional Capwells and wackier Lockridges... but I think a few factors did in the family. 1) Recasting of Joe Perkins 2) Bad casting of the Perkins Patriarch, and the one note writing for that character. 3) Lack of antagonistic interaction between the Capwells/Lockridges and Perkins.  (There was no awkwardness between Jade/Ted.. or CC disapproving of his son being friends with that Perkins girl, etc). 4) Wasting of Jade thus wasting the potential of the actress (which was realized on Days of Our Lives).  She had more potential than Laken oddly enough. The only member of the Perkins family that had appeal and a somewhat thought out story arc was Amy.
    • @GymnastGuyThanks for posting the three new Capitol 1985 episodes today. The two labeled March 12, and 13 are misidentified. The March 12 labeled one actually aired November 12 1985 which I figured out because Kenny Rogers' movie Wild Horses aired November 12th and it was announced over the "March 12" Cap credits. In addition, Craig Carlson is listed in the April credits but not the March. Craig left Capitol sometime after July 1985 before he rejoined OLTL in the credits by October 15, 1985; he was replaced on Cap by Radcliffe and Hamner. In these posted episodes Radcliffe/Hamner names appear in the March 85 episodes but not in the April.
