So then this is it for Victor and Nikki? Their 35-year relationship—which includes four marriages—goes down the drain?
As far as I’m concerned, Victor should dismiss Nikki. It’s over. Done! Are you kidding me? She is persona non grata. I would never tolerate a wife who spoke out against me, and neither should he. The same with his children. He should disown them. Bingo! Bye! This is where the writers and I have had disagreements. They have their agenda. But I remember Victor’s history. When I see a script where Victor starts to soften with someone who has done him wrong, I say, “Bulls--t! I won’t act this!”

Sigh...what can you even say at this point....

What's the big deal? This reads like every other interview he's given in the last decade. EB is happy as long as Victor has airtime and wins in the end. That is literally all he cares about. And Victor is certain to win out in the end here.

I'm going to read this for the entertainment value alone, with EB/Victor's voice in my head.

(I have no reason for posting this gif below other than to see MM trip over the exercise equipment)

Same ol', same ol'.

It was nice having him note how ridiculous was the Marco doppelganger storyline. Victor is a despicable human being, but then again - almost every single other character also has a number of crimes attached to themselves. Speaks volumes about how low this show has fallen.

I'm down with killing off Victor.  I'm also down with recasting him (which will never happen) and then turning him either into a broadly comic character or a benevolent father figure (which, again, will never happen).  But, either way, I'm done with TGVN as portrayed by Eric Braeden.

That's the issue with this show is that they've made is more ABC-like. This is the primary issue with soaps all across the board. Not only did each show have it's own identity, each network had their own identity to, which has been lost in translation since the mid-90s. CBS and NBC network heads wanna model these shows after ABC daytime when ABC daytime hasn't been #1 in daytime since the late-80s. This ideology has been the constant downfall of soaps.

I'd just prefer for the character to die. There's nothing more for the character to do as the writers, producers, or EB (himself) will allow the character to regain the layers he had before. Adam can fill the void that Victor once filled.

This interview is really no different then the countless other interviews Braeden has done, ranting about what he doesn't like etc.....but I at least get this feeling that he's sort of accepted that he can't totally control the writing as much as he thinks he can, even if he doesn't like the material he's given....

The one part of the interview I didn't like was when he talked about how he wouldn't have Victor go "soft" on anyone that has bad blood with with him......So if someone wanted to actually developed a friendship between Jack and Victor after this worn out tired ass stale feud for 30 plus years, Braeden would object to it?....right....
