Which makes the whole exchange of Billy stupid. I hate when they have to do a damn short emotional arc that has the character hospital bound to switch up the actors. It is stupid. Just send the character away for a week and bring them back as the new actor. No need for them to all stand over the bed and cry over Billy when we all know it won't amount to sh-t. Once he wakes up, Jack and Ashley will continue to scream and scold him. Jill will continue not to interact with him. Snorboria will continue to sob and blame all the woes in her life on him. So f-cking stupid....

I blame the writers who mostly caved into Billy Miller's wants for the character that destroyed him in the process...

I also get that we do need a next generation of Abbotts vs Newmans, but I never got the whole Victor vs.Billy thing.....I don't know if it's mostly cause I just hate hearing Braeden mumbling "Billyboy" every effing moment, but If they had decided to not write Billy as the loser he has been the last 7 years or so, I feel like there would be no reason for Victor to hate Billy to begin with whether or not he was with Victoria, and even if it was only because he was Jack's brother....

I actually enjoyed Billy Miller's Billy until they tossed him in Victoria's orbit. That killed the character for me. I enjoyed him being an unapologetic playboy that sniffed around Lily when he first returned to town. I LOVED Billy/Chloe's loveless marriage and the fact that Jill's son/Esther's daughter were tied to each other. I enjoyed Billy with Heather. Hell, I thought he and Sharon were hot together, but once he got paired with Victoria, all the life got sucked out of him.

I get MAB wanted to do a Romeo/Juliet story with Victoria and Billy but it's been a major flop for me. I would've probably been more interested if it was Keemo/Victoria instead of Billy. I had high hopes that Billy would've fell into the role Jack used to assume and be a notorious philanderer/business screw up while Jack moved into the role John once occupied. I had hoped that Chloe would've been Billy's Jill--the thorn in his side that he couldn't resist at times. Adam should've been the Victor to Billy's Jack. Instead, we got none of that.

I also had high hopes that they might've done the same thing with Noah/Kyle but instead, we got Luca serving as Noah's rival instead. Yeah, I like Luca he's assuming the role that Kyle should have but I digress. I could go on an everlasting tangent as to why Y&R is such a sh*tpile now.

    • As well as insulting our host, being rude to members who correct you, and having an inflated sense of duty.
    • Yes, that is why. I mean, not last minute but it was not what Shapiro originally wanted. First, she tried to buy the show. Then she tried to buy the character. Meanwhile several other companies also tried to buy the show.
    • I thought I had stopped & then I saw this post from you. To be clear I said I was wrong. I have not made an attempt at any backpedaling. There is literally no place to back pedal to. I did 3 things. I deleted. i apologized. I said I was wrong, egregiously so.
    • I think bringing Dano back to OLTL as her original character Gretel/Rae was a last minute thing because P & G wouldn't let ABC use the Felicia character. So even though she had ties to OLTL from back in the day, she just didn't fit into the OLTL of the late 90s/early 00s.. nor did she really fit into the other soaps at ABC either.
    • I don't think they were the biggest factor, but I do think there's a specific style to Dano's work that wasn't helped by how pointless her character often felt (and later on the various writers clearly saw the character as a joke).
    • I think Evie came in mid 1976 after Rita broke up with Tim because she realized she was leading him on.  And Evie became upset with Rita because she didn't tell her that she had previously dated Tim before she came to town.
    • Please stop, you were wrong, and you know it, now you're trying to back pedal. You even got called out by the DAYS actors/actresses on Twitter for that sh*t. It was disgusting and vile and IMO the family should have taken action against you It was clear the general public did not know about his illness and it was NOT your place to "spill the beans" just because you run a Facebook group, period! TBH IMO @Errol should have banned you ages ago Donna
    • Who went bowling? JFP & Anna? Is there any more to this?
    • Another character driven show with interconnecting plots that make sense. I like that we go from one character, like Sarah, learning that EJ wants to buy the hospital, casually mentioning it to Xander who now has that intel. The only down today was not seeing Steve and Shawn breaking into the lab. I wonder if Dr Poofy Hair will inform EJ about Xander's call. I loved Abe talking to Chanel about losing Isaac and giving her comfort. And helping her voice her fears about Johnny. Kayla standing up to EJ is great. Kayla, freed from Ron, has been great. I am loving all her air time. And Sarah telling her that EJ must be up to something if he wants the hospital is very smart. She would probably clue in to the sepsis research being the big thing if she wasn't choking to death. I assume Felicity messed up the scones and dropped in cleaning fluid or something. Sarah said it tasted weird. They are never getting that honeymoon, are they? Xander has no clue what job Johnny can do. Johnny knows this too. Xander wants to legitimize his takeover by hiring a Dimera. Johnny wants to stick it to EJ. The honesty is refreshing. I want to like Cat and Chad but they are just so awkward. And none of their scenes work for me. Marlena and EJ was very good. I like her wanting to help him but also scared to death for Belle. Makes perfect sense that she is conflicted. I also liked her softly asking Johnny if he needed her to stay once EJ walked in. Ron never cared about this relationship either, but now she is acting like his granny.
    • Sorry, catching up, and the bolded part, yes! Should have been sued by DH's family for that nasty sh*t too   Anywho, back to the show, Kristina is freaking nuts, she needs to be committed ASAP
