November 24, 201510 yr Member He was one of my absolute favorites. No matter what kind of dreck he was handed, Canary made it work. "Actor, David Hoyt Canary, beloved husband of Maureen Canary for over 33 years, passed away of natural causes on November 16, 2015, at The Greens at Cannondale in Wilton, Conn." http://www.wiltonbulletin.com/58885/obituary-david-canary-77-actor/
November 24, 201510 yr Member Wow…so shocked..thought he would live forever. RIP…he was a great actor.
November 24, 201510 yr Member This is heartbreaking One of the best Daytime villains ever and one of the greatest actors. How sad
November 24, 201510 yr Member Ohhhh, jeez this is just horrible. DC was the best, hands down, a daytime icon...RIP and thanks for all of the memories as Adam and Stuart!!!
November 24, 201510 yr Member I'm still finding this weird that they took eight days to announce it. Maybe I'm just used to all things about remotely famous people being instantly splashed all over all media, but it seems unreal.
November 24, 201510 yr Author Member I remember how many times I had to remind myself that Adam and Stuart were in fact played by one person. He made it look so easy. And when he would play one twin pretending to be the other, that's when you could see just how much he put into both of them.
November 24, 201510 yr Member He always said he was most like Stuart. You could tell what a wonderful person he was. RIP

Maybe I'm just used to all things about remotely famous people being instantly splashed all over all media, but it seems unreal. It was two weeks before Christine Cavanaugh's (a famous voice actress--Chuckie from Rugrats) death was reported, so it can happen, especially if that person was known for being more private. RIP. I never watched AMC on a regular basis at all, but I sure knew who he was.

Canary was so damn good it almost seemed as if 2 different people was playing the parts.
November 24, 201510 yr Member Canary WAS so damn good at playing Stuart and Adam. I've always loved him and was so happy to see him pop up on the AMC reboot. Just two years ago and now he's gone. Such a loss. Really sad. And seemed like a great guy. May he RIP.
