That might be more plausible, although I suspect Bradley Bell wants the explanation to be more shocking than that.

Chances are, we will learn she actually stole that baby or found her on the streets and only claimed her as her daughter. And as for how she was able to stay a woman despite being homeless and having no access to hormonal therapies...well...you take it, Bradley!

I hope they dont go the hermaphrodite route. That screams Passions to me with the Vincent plot. Id rather they have it be alot more simpler than that in that Myron, a boy just always felt like a female and when he became of age, decided to transition

Agreed. If Maya had just appeared on canvas a few months ago or maybe a year ago, it would be simpler. But there is so much onscreen story that was written and it now needs to be justified, explained away. Again, if they keep Maya as a leading lady with romantic interests, I'm good with this. But, as I said a few posts ago, the writing is just off-the-wall. How do you go on Monday with Nicole scheming, threatening and stalking with her "I want to be a model" to Wed where Nicole is a sensitive girl who missed her 'sister'? Pair up the beautiful and touching reveal scene - some of B&B's best work - with Monday's scenes and you'll get what I'm talking about. It's one of the reasons I'm very nervous about how they will handle the issue.
