LOL at Rick calling Caroline while in bed with Maya, I can't wait to see that scene.

Not just call, but Facetime her. The nerve of this bastard

That's so low-down it's practically subterranean. I want Cookie Lyon to whoop his ass with a broom. laugh.png

I'm gonna check out that 7K episode.

You should be watching the show in general!

Only soap worth a damn right now!

You convinced me to give the show a shot so I watched yesterday's ep. There's something really icky about Rick/Maya.

I don't watch B&B much and I find a lot of their pacing insane, but when I do I am always impressed with the relative simplicity of their constant repetition of certain character traits, themes, neuroses. Those neuroses drive a lot of their stories which often go in circles, but they find character reasons for them to happen. It's kind of old-fashioned but it works. I don't know if I could watch it all the time, but I did fairly regularly for a few months around this time last year. And I think Thorsten Kaye has done surprisingly well. I also really like the work focus.

That FaceTime thing is hilarious, though. That sort of [!@#$%^&*] they do a lot is part of why I can never take B&B too serious. (The other reason is Brooke, whose bullshit I am still not convinced the writers have a full awareness of.)

I want to like the show but there's always been something about B&B that makes my teeth itch. Maybe I'm just too much of a disciple of Black Agnes but I've always had a tough time will the Bell soaps. Perhaps it's because I'm the product of a mixed marriage. (Mom was AMC and Dad was Y&R. wink.png )

My ancient babysitter watched Y&R (and ATWT, and B&B, and some GL) religiously. She also somehow found time for some of the '80s OLTL. Either way, "Nadia's Theme" drove me insane from the ages of about 3 to 8.
