Perfect way to put this Toups, it is out of their comfort zone but I really don't see it doing all that well unless they pair it with a mega hit to get people watching. I'll tune in for the pilot, but the lead is so beige to me as she was on Glee when I attempted to watch the later seasons.

They said that it will more than likely have crossovers with The Flash and Arrow. I believe I read it on Deadline.

I'm curious about this and will probably watch. I agree she looks bland and the costume is eh.

I don't know if I see it going to the CW if it flops on CBS. I've heard it'd be way too expensive for the little network that won't give up trying (even though CW can afford to air The Flash and Arrow).

SUPERGIRL, as an actress, came off MUCH better here than I thought she would. I'm not quite sure why this is a rom com with a klutzy girl cliche that just happens to fly type of thing, but at least a lot of the FX don't look horrible and I guess it stands a chance. I'll be trying it out. Also, Mehcad Brooks.

I see people RAVING about this trailer. It's better than I expected (I'm not 100% yet) and I think it's what many wanted Smallville to be (although I liked Smallville for what it was). We shall see .... I do think this belongs on the CW. I don't think they'll move it if it flops. Just depends what CBS will consider a flop and if it's worth it. I've repeatedly read that it won't be moved because it would be too expensive for the CW to continue producing. Who knows?

Yeah, Supergirl won't move to CW if it's canceled, unless WB is willing to cut the budget big time. Being on CBS, it's not going to be able to fly with ratings the ratings Gotham and SHIELD deliver, it's going to have to be more. I'd guess it's going to have to at least do about what Scorpion does (maybe a bit less since it airs an hour earlier).

I'm a rom-com fan but I did not expect that for this show, so I was put off a bit by that preview. I thought it would have the same tone as the other two Berlanti comic shows (Flash and Arrow). Instead, if feels like Berlanit's "No Ordinary Family" that aired on ABC years ago. I do like Melissa Benoist though.

    • The whole AMC 2.0 pulled it together in mere weeks to get a show up and running, with scripts and a cast.

Ginger Smith seemed really passionate about being in the executive producer position, and I think she really did a fantastic job in six weeks. It was just well done.
    • I totally didn’t pick up on that. Just perfect! I don’t get the Maurice Johnson hate around here at all. He didn’t take me out of the scenes at all. I understood everything he was portraying. It was great. I do wonder if there will be a personality shift with the new actor, whom I’m still not excited about. Exactly. Right? I’m in the exact same boat as you. Agree with most of this except I never found anything off with Ted, didn’t suspect a thing. I just watched yesterday’s episode and it was one of the best soap episodes I’ve seen in a very long time. I was enthralled the entire time. Just fantastic.
    • Yep! Very curious to see where this goes.
    • I was confused too, but I think it was always a "tribute thread" (this one and OLTL's were created when their cancellations were announced). They just changed the show abbreviations to their titles spelled out, I guess to make the board just a little bit more uniform. I was lost, too lol
    • Well... I am. I think she's losing her initial menacing presence. Slowly but surely. I need the crazy dialed back. But as I said... this is very miniscule negative reaction. I am loving the show right now. We'll see how they'll continue after the fireworks.
    • Oh, I am so looking forward to the reveal about Laura's accident, and Nicole and Leslie having a real one on one.
    • I'm not seeing that right now. I'm stepping out on faith and believeing MVJ will not turn "Silk" into a ridiculous caricature.
    • One little... very little... tiny... minuscule negative comment. I was debating if I should care to say it... In some ways... Silk has been acting clownish... I think they need to dial it back, because if this continues with the current pace... she'll be worse than Sheila in terms of getting totally predictable and not menacing anymore. TMG is one hell of an actress... I just want to see a more normal and less clownish Silkpress in the coming weeks*months. We need to dial down the wigs too. It's becoming a funny caricature and we don't want that. Maybe we do, I'm not sure. I just like her more menacing and sinister than... "Hahhahahah what is she wearing today". That's a personal preference.   So far... I am okay with it... but I have fears this may turn into a really tired joke in the future. I want TMG as long as possible on my screen!
    • Not really short-lived as GH went to color in 1967, so the blue background actually lasted about twice as long as the black background. You can see it at the very beginning of this set of clips from 1974:

Also would like to put it out there in the universe, as I often do, that the wait for any AMC from 1972-1976 has been too damn long. At this point, it is the only long-running soap (10+ years) that has absolutely zero video clips from that time period online. We have either whole episodes or clips from every year of the show's run except those five, which happen to be the exact years when one of my favorite characters I've never actually seen, Margo Flax, was a major player. Justice for Margo, please.
