October 13, 201411 yr Member Same with David Tom. I truly find what happened to David Tom to be one of the meanest, most insulting things in soap history, certainly modern soap history. They will fine-tune the role for Jack Wagner's old ass doppelganger, but not for an Emmy-winner who originated the role and made it a success! Yeah DT had great chemistry with Chelsea too....the baby nonsense with Victoria is just awful and I am so sick of it and her woe as me attitude....both guys should kick her buck ugly teeth to the curb.... And Jack...has zero chemistry with both ladies......what a mess ...

I don't even care about DT and I don't watch YR regularly, but I will NEVER forgive the way they treated him just so they could find a fit for that piece of driftwood! They should have killed the story and put an end to Villy for good! Then Billy would look like Ashley and Jack's BABY brother and Jill's son. DT and Jess' mother/son chem was second to none!

They expected DT, an actor who thrives on playing vulnerability, to play a Billy Miller-esque frat boy, fire him, and then totally revamp the character into a generic leading man (nothing at all like Billy Miller) for Burgess. Really just says it all about this show. Feels a little like the final years of ATWT. I only watch Y&R when I'm off work, but have they always written Michael Baldwin *this* flamboyantly gay? When he was doing the yenta accent with Phyllis, I thought, the writers aren't even attempting to write this character as heterosexual. Edited October 13, 201411 yr by Faulkner

He was sooooo gay even with the looks he kept giving Jack....LOL...

Agree. They never really gave David Tom a chance. I thought he was pretty good in general and he had a love scene with AH that was one of the better ones the show has had lately. (Hilary and Devon make me want to puke! I will never be able to get behind this yucky couple.) This Billy is just so bland and monotone with his line delivery. He's the oatmeal of Billys, the grilled cheese sandwich of Billys. Okay once in a while but you wouldn't want a steady diet of it. have they always written Michael Baldwin *this* flamboyantly gay? When he was doing the yenta accent with Phyllis, I thought, the writers aren't even attempting to write this character as heterosexual. He should have told Phyllis his penis isn't working with Lauren anymore. Maybe then Phyllis could have told him what she's always suspected - that he's gay! Just a thought. I actually felt for Cady McClains Kelly first time she was good in the role I've been warming up to her for a while. She's pretty! and fun to watch. She's one of those actresses who can make other actors and characters more interesting or tolerable, like Lily for example and I like her with Jack. IA she plays vulnerable well but she seems like she has some steel to her spine as well which will make the inevitable face off with Phyllis fun to watch. Hopefully. Looks like Victoria got herself a new office. About time.
October 13, 201411 yr Member I think Burgess Jenkins is too old acting for the part. They really need a Josh Duhmeal as Billy that would be huge

It's very insulting. Guess MANY were blind and still are blind, that talent should trump looks, which makes no sense since DT is very good looking

Nah nothing beats ATWT's Scott Bryce being fired over the phone during the holidays

October 13, 201411 yr Member Nah nothing beats ATWT's Scott Bryce being fired over the phone during the holidays I remember that, I STILL don't understand why that happened
