There is absolutely zero doubt in my mind about that. They want these shows gone, dead, done. They're getting their wish.

He was so beyond terrible at AMC, and so dismissive of the show and its history, of Agnes Nixon, of everything. Didn't even Susan Lucci call him out?

The main reason this genre has been in death throes for two decades is because they constantly practice the "fail upwards" strategy. Hacks like Pratt decimate soaps and get bigger and better jobs for it every time.

A few years ago I would have given off a laundry list of the havoc he will likely wreak, but at this point, why even bother. Nothing to joke about or gossip about or laugh about or angst about.

Instead it's watching someone you care about get their last rites.

WOOOOOOW! As bad as his writing was and this is who they hired?! WOW!!! His AMC was TERRIBLE no matter how much network interference. WOW!

He's terrible. So many talented writers in and out of daytime , and this is who gets hired ? Y&R will be gutted in a year. And now a true JFP era begins on the show. If it's true.

I hated Guza on GH. Hated. But he would have been better than Pratt. Not by much. But better.

I'd love Jamie Luner as Mac and Alicia Leigh Willis as a re-cast Chloe.

I just don't know...the show already hit rock bottom. Pratt did alright in GH under JFP's leadership. I blame a lot of his failures on Frons and the structure of AMC.

I had a feeling it would be Guza, and soon. I forgot the other man from Jill's last "dream team".

Pratt (unless he's coming cheaper these days) is expensive, or was at AMC. He was good on primetime many years ago, but his AMC was an utter debacle, the way he treated the cast was awful, and this, uh - woo. This will be entertaining at the very least.

I think Pratt has zero interest in ALW - that was a Frons thing. Jamie Luner or other stars from his primetime shows, OTOH, should freshen up their resumes. (BTW, Jamie Luner would've made a good Phyllis.)

Nope. The show was coasting along on boring but mostly non-destructive stories. Pratt will turn this into a legitimate sh!tfest that will make LML's Clear Springs look like Bill Bell's brainchild!
