I finally realized this too after watching this wonderful 70's clips of Lorie on here....

I have to say if Brad was trying to make a throwback to one of his father's earliest piece of history on Y&R I commend him for that, but man IDK I just feel like deep down this whole thing would have been better if instead of using Hope, it should have been Steffy and Phoebe (if they didn't kill her off) as the leads ala Lorie and Leslie and of course we have Liam and Wyatt....That would have made it seem more reminiscent of the Brooks/Prentis story....

#1. Why didn't Bradley play up Quinn pushing Ivy in the water? This shouldn't've been revealed for months. Hell, this could've been concealed for years. He plays beats too fast nowadays. He won't even allow them to cook for a second.

I actually kind of love that Hope is in the middle of this triangle. I couldn't stand Steffy, and how she kept destroying relationships left and right, and I hope that little twit stays gone for good. I think Liam deserves this in so many aspects. I can't take Wyatt seriously though, I feel like Darin Brookes is constantly playing a comedic role and I can't take him seriously.

Actually, NBA, I think you could say this about all the soaps. No one trusts the audience anymore to wait for the Big Finish; and when they do delay the BF, it's usually for a story that hardly anyone wishes to see go on at all!

I'd truly love it if Liam were to shock the hell out of everybody, including the viewers, and tell Hope to kiss off.

In true B&B fashion, Wyatt and Quinn will discover they are not biological son and mother after all and they'll be screwing like bunny rabbits, only for Liam and Quinn to have angry sex, and thus, a new love triangle is born.

I don't understand the urgency for this reveal. Quinn got Bill to keep his trap shut, so why not play it out? Why did they have to have Dumb & Dumber be the supersleuths? It's just mindboggling. Just when I was going to try to watch regularly again, I'm sticking to reading the synopses and watching the clips. I'm guessing that all those hints about Hope/Wyatt starting a family will come true now - that has to be the wrench they will toss - keeps her away from Liam, Quinn is forgiven for "family" harmony, etc. Disappointing.

I think that's the issue at play: they perceive the viewers won't stick around to see the story climax 3-6 months later, so it all gets wrapped up quickly.

On B&B, plot twists and secrets move along super fast that there's no real time to digest the resolution. But, when Ridge went missing in Abu Dhabi for 3 weeks, it felt like a very long 3 weeks. I think by rushing through stories, they miss a lot of opportunities to have a decent pay-off, like Quinn locking Liam in the steam room, which got resolved in a throwaway line.

Yes B&B is starting to resemble the ABC prime time soap through history, which constantly "up the ante" because they have to run through stories fast. Pretty soon, it goes from one extreme to another and it become a parody of itself. (It's not long before that "jump-the-shark" moment.) I'm not sureof the urgency here- B&B has plenty of stories that can peak at different times to give appearance that stuff is always happening, but it seems like it's the "A" story has twist after twist after twist in lightning speed and it really hurts the characters - Hope is really suffering the most damage here. Why couldn't they have Wyatt and Hope married for a while and Liam and Ivy in a hot affair and THEN the video is revealed? Like for November sweeps. In fact, it could've been something that just 'popped' its head back and not constantly talked about.

honestly, B&B's done too much with this couple for it to even be viable anymore. They've broken up SO MANY TIMES of their own free will, and gotten with so many other peeps it's just not happening (if it ever even was, tbh)
