ITA - but I also think they have the foundation set with: Katie/Ridge/Caroline/Rick/Myrna as a story to could fill those months. Give us some Justin/Donna love = JG proved she was still a smoking hot woman with her little visit to Y&R. Why aren't they taking advantage of her abilities on B&B? I don't get it. I'm sure we'll also get Deacon/Quinn stuff, but Deacon has kind of been stymied without Brooke on canvas.

I still think it's stupid that they've left Eric single for so long. At the very least they could've paired him back up with Donna or gone through with the potential feud with Donna and Quinn. If you look at how many episodes Jennifer Garies has appeared in this year, the screentime is there, but they are paying her to sit in the background. They need to actually use her if she's going to be on contract.

I think she could be useful. If they aren't going to put Quinn with Liam, the clear money couple, then a triangle with Quinn/Eric/Donna could be a big story. There is lots of comedy to be mined from a story like that, plus Donna is the type of rival that could help Quinn go more into Sheila territory. And with Pam now sane and friends with Donna, she could even be tied in as a defender of Donna which could take her to the dark side again. Hell, even Ally can be thrown in since she has had issues with sanity and issues with Quinn.

Forget Eric - sorry, it's disgusting to have the attractive 40s women paying after him (Quinn, Taylor, Donna). Utilize Deacon or Justin as foundation for a Donna/Quinn feud - either works - you've got Brooke/Hope drama with Deacon and you've got Bill drama with Justin. Dump Charlie & Pam and give Donna some of the airtime instead of sharing a desk with Pam or serving as a coffee partner to Katie or Brooke.

Oh I do agree that they should utilize Deacon and Justin as well, but Eric is a core character and considering the setting of the show it only makes sense he'd have a young wife. If we're being honest, with his history he should be marrying MAYA, not Donna, who is too old for him.

Im all for Eric and Maya. She is coming across like a young Brooke and Ive mentioned that. Why not have history repeat itself with Rick/Ridge settling for Caroline and Maya/Brooke makes a play for his father? She's already been called out on being a golddigger so why waste her time with Rick when she can go after the big boss who will likely croak in a few years leaving her the Forrester fortune? They really should play up her devious side and make Eric her target when she fails with Rick

Eric and Myrna make a ton of sense. Didn't they even tease that a few months ago?

I think Kim Matula is the soap star I feel most sorry for these days. Yes, she's rich, beautiful and semi famous, but she must want to bang her head against a wall when she gets these ridiculous, repetitive scripts. The writing for Hope is just so bad.

Hopes not the only one that' written like a dummy. Liam gets the goods on almighty Quinn and what does he do? Run over to tell Hope she's not there so he tells Wyatt and outs Quinn here's a woman who strategically plays you time and time again...yet you don't take a minute to think it through? Why out Quinn to Wyatt, I would have planned a party and fronted her off...something major.

Quinn just walks in places without knocking... Ok.

agan that's the part that bothers me. Quinn continues to assault people and commit crimes yet no one takes action against her. Why she keeps getting a free pass to continue going after people is beyond me

yikes! Those cheeks look like they are hurting

    • Also, the lawsuit story was not the right story to bring Naomi and Bill into a court battle since those types of lawsuits are usually resolved via settlements.
    • I know that Sara did eventually become Carrie's therapist, but I was curious if the show had her make comments regarding Carrie's stunts of making it seem as though Justin was cheating on Jackie.  Given that Justin cheated on Sara with both Jackie and Brandy, I wondered if it was wise of her to counsel Carrie given the conflict of interest involved. @DRW50I think once Adam/Sara end up married.. Marland didn't see any reason to explore Sara's personal life after the actor playing Adam was released.  I know that Sara lasts until at least Christmas 1982 on the show.. but I don't think she ended up staying on for very long into 1983. The period between Marland quitting and Pam Long starting was the perfect time to clean house on characters that had outgrown their usefulness  (i.e. Ben, Evie, Sara, Jennifer, Morgan).. and tying up stories started by Marland that were too complex (Mona Enright, Mark/Jennifer/Amanda triangle).
    • Unpopular opinion:  The focus on the soap opera tropes over the mysteries and crimes was partly what did the show in.  Also, featuring characters not involved in the legal, police, and criminal elements also hurt the show and took away what made it unique. Featuring characters like Jody, Raven, Sky, etc hurt the show long term.  The show ABCified starting in 1976/1977 and then went through a youthification period starting in 1981.
    • I feel like the lawsuit storyline was resolved quickly because the show didn’t want to spring for more sets.
    • It's been a while, but we have seen the foyer to Bill and Hayley's house as well as the exterior entrance to their house. The foyer was first seen in the premiere episode when Hayley met Vanessa at the house.
    • There's still a year or two before Larkin arrives. Joel is there already. EON does noticeably youthify, although I think they carry it off. Admittedly I haven't seen most of the Jody stories, which from what people here have said aren't great.
    • I don't mind the actor who plays Brian. He's fine. The problem for me is that Paige seems so wishy wishy. She doesn't seem to have much of a personality at this point so I don't see why Brian would be so besotted with her. She just lurches from one trauma to the next. Granted, it's only been a month, but she's not as vibrant as April or even Deborah who has had minimal screen time by this point.  I do worry about the influence of GH on the show since I'm in fall of 1979 and characters have conversations and there's not the drive to "youthify" the show. However, I think Marceau (sp?) is gone. He was given a rather tame sendoff. How long was the actor on the show? I hope this is not a sign of things to come. I worry the show is setting up a murder mystery around one of my favorite characters and I will be mightily annoyed. I also noticed in recent Search for Tomorrow episodes uploaded to YT that the actors playing Logan and Eliot showed up. I don't watch the show but they were in the screencaps. When does Larkin Malloy show up or has he already left? Joel Crothers hasn't shown up either unless I've blinked and missed him.
    • Dr Linden. She treated Vanessa's drug addiction (although Vanessa seemed to forget that by Henry's suicide attempt) , and she's mentioned during Reva's PPD. Although I can't recall if she's actually shown right off the top of my head. She probably was temporarily shelved when Sonni was a therapist (between her crazy times) And I think Billy sees her after he falls off the wagon after Reva's death.
