October 22, 201411 yr Member It really captured the post civil rights era south, it didn't go over the top with the racism element, but it was very clearly expressed and I liked how Gillespe was shown to still be battling his own racial demons, to some extent. As far a reboot goes, I would hope that they could capture that same sort of vibe, but from a modern perspective. This! I loved this show because I felt like I was watching my home town on TV. There is a hamlet in the county called "the Bottoms", I kid you not.
